When I was a kid, I used to watch Flor de Luna because of JC Bonnin. But that's beside the point. It's just surprising to me to see Janice de Belen in all these cooking videos. Has it been that long? I need to visit the Philippines.

Naconfuse ako iba ang bagoong na alam ko Janice, para namang alamang yan or shrimp paste!...Pero parang ansarap....wala lng akong barrio fiesta products!!
Ung nglagay xa ng ing. Sa pot un ei pra sa pgpapakulo lang ng pork. Pra mas may lasa ung pork bago igisa... Kc aq pg nglluto ngpapakulo aq ng meat pra malambot at malasa ung meat bago aq mg fried or mg gisa...Kalimitan kc sa iba lalo na ung mga karinderia hnd lahat ngpapakulo ng meat after hugasan ung meat ginigisa or dretso lulutoin agad... So kanya kanyang style ng pgluluto yan... Kaya esg nyo husgahan intindihin nyo muna bago kau mgsalita ng hindi maganda...
Ms. Janice studied a Culinary school... Kung bags CHEF xa... At bago ka maging CHEF marami kang pgaaralan at dpat matutunan... Hndi porket may alam kau sa pagluluto eh kau na ang tama... Try nyo lutuin bago nyo husgahan... Pakiintindi maigi ung video at cnasabi nya ha bago mo husgahan...
Mga tao dito sobrang limited ng utak! Tutal mas marunong pa kayo kay janice,bat di kayo mag start ng sarili nyong cooking show! kaloka! labas din kayo ng sarili nyong bahay para maka-discover ng bagong bagay,hindi ung stick lang kayo sa norms/nakasanayan. try nyo sundan ang procedure ni janice,tas tikman nyo. Pag natikman nyo na,dun kayo mag comment!
In these binagoongan videos, I see people still adding salt or patis. Bagoong is already way salty on its own. She didn't even taste it yet and she added salt
But she still added bagoong while sautéing... I'm guessing she put bagoong in the boiling water to flavor the meat. I personally don't do it this way but if you look at the finish product, it's still looks like how it should be.
Yes, you may add the sauteed bagoong in the boiling water, the pork will better absorb the flavor. Don't be afraid to experiment and you will be surprised to discover a phletora of exciting new recipes.

Especially the TH-cam movies -- one should be able to watch the first 10% of the movie and decide that it is not worth watching it up to the end. Or reading my comments on this video up to the end -- one can decide that my comments are too verbose and switch to another comment, before reading my comment to its entirety and deciding that my comments were not worth reading after all. This is why I commented on the recipe before finishing the video, But when I re-started the video and saw the recipe at the final part, I changed my mind and made a 2nd comment to change my opinion. Anyway, I have tried this recipe and discovered that it really makes a tasty dish!. Try it, my friend, it is masarap! Every bite will give you a gastronomic orgasm!!!

I think this is a quick cook style binagoongan, the segment just shows how easy and verstile barrio fiesta bagoong is.
