Basically, died relatively young with lots of regrets, bumped into the Pandaren in the Forsaken starting zone and she taught her that if she wanted inner peace (and to die a relatively happier second death) she would have to help others. So, she's incredibly depressed, self loathing and prone to anxiety attacks, but she tries really hard to lift her regrets (though often her attempts to help others end up going badly and send her into another pit of despair)
Souls of all undeads already tainted with corruption and there wouldnt be any "happier second death". Because their souls would suffer eternally in dark place after such death with many others like them, who didnt wanted to be walking corpses anymore. I've come up with a fourth undead personality, if anyone wants to use it. Curious Difficulty: Hard Rarity: Rare These undead had a bad life, either because of abuse, disease, or war. They view undeath as a chance to have a clean slate and find out where exactly they belong in the world. These undead are constantly on the move, and aren't incredibly loyal to Lady Sylvannas, but are willing to help the cause if it's needed.

A lot of people seem to forget the process of death and resurrection, enslavement and liberation, as well as the degenerative process of death itself can exact a significant toll on the minds of some Forsaken, not invariably resulting in the depressive archetype. Some could be quite literally scatterbrained, some irritable and bad tempered, or even just down-right strange. Good guide though, glad you mentioned the whole undead priest channeling the light causing pain to the channeler thing.
I have Death Knight... ignore the lore but experience... while playing and questing - is incredible. You can experience Forsaken quests as Undead race AND Class Hall quests of Death Knight that fits each-other perfectly. Not to mention building WoD garrison full of Death Knights and Forsaken of other classes with DK/Forsaken guards. SWEET

For Forsaken Priests, the priest trainer in the starting area tells you how people will look to you for support and guidance and so on, and you're just supposed to go with it. They don't seem to believe in the divinity of the light like the humans do, but they seem to wield it like any other type of magic.
I always liked to think that undead in warcraft consumed flesh to slowly restore whatever decay and missing flesh they might have. Given their nature it wouldn't help for long, of course. But I used it as something to explain why even some of the oldest forsaken seem to still have flesh on their bones. I doubt that this is the actual reason, but it's a theory I made up :P
Another cool thing to do that's alot more exclusive to undead characters would be to RP accordingly with a certain set of armor/transmog. An example would be like, if you had a full Scarlet Crusade transmog set for your undead, your backstory could be that you're an ex-member of the crusade and you now have to live with the fact that you've become the very thing you fought against and hated all your life, and now you wander around in your old armor in as a sentiment of your old life or maybe an attempt not to forget yourself.
The forsaken can eat and sleep and do gain from it. There is a manual in the Deathknight starting area that explains that hygiene, food, and sleep can help you preserve your body and slow down the decomposition.
Most guides say "roll UD cause /wotf" this guide makes me want to pick them even if their racial was a 10% Stam debuff! Ty for this artful guide. This gives me a great base to start learning more from. Terrific!
I didn't know how to find RP servers, yet I still rp'ed. I was a Grave Keeping Foresaken that even in death had to be pulled away from the graves he swore to protect, after he died just watching the graves doing nothing, he died while doing nothing really. Just old age. The way I do it is that he isn't even aware that he died, just as if he got knocked out and now some people came by and kicked him out of his job. He's a hunter and is basically an old western man with a gun that thinks everyone around him is a kid because he lived for a long time, and now was dead for even longer.

Born as an undead now, he serves the horde, he's a loyalist, sees this new life as a second chance and embraces the void as a shadow priest that sometimes uses the light.
My undeader was an alliance priestess ( a newbie, but still skilled enough to be in combat) that died during the siege of undercity. She is kind of pissed about it but she is..slowly accepting it. Tho she does not see herself as a part of the horde or alliance

+brainjuice654 That's a fair point but the reason that there was an attack on undercity was because a portion of the forsaken had unleashed the plague at the wrathgate, on horde and alliance. This would include blood elves being blighted, and so perhaps it would be more diplomatic in lorthemar's view to not fight for undercity out of respect for his people. For all we know, he could have volunteered and been denied. Lorthemar was also against fighting in Northrend because his people had already just finished a costly civil war and incurred many losses, so why waste time taking back an unrelated city when others were doing it? In such times of strife a leader must think of his people above all. The reason thrall went is that he was the warchief that had to hold together the horde, and show his power (possibly) by taking back a racial capital for the horde. Sorry for the essay lol
Forsaken DK - Human Paladin who was resserected you don't need to have ur origin be the starter zone. You could be a knight turned DK during WC3 or during WotlK (outside of starter zone for DK)
Undead priests: The official post about "it hurts like a b**** but works fine" for them is really outdated and the concept of how the Light works are proven to be different even back in TBC. Vanilla: Corrupt and insane Scarlet Crusaders have used holy abilities with no problem at all. TBC: The Light is a form of power like arcane, elemental, or nature magic and can be contained and used. Proven by the Blood Knights of the Bloodelves. Although the Light have "enlightened" them which made them realize their past mistakes when they lost connection with it(Kael'thas too back Mu'ru to Tempest Keep). Also Mu'ru are turning into a shadow elemental after getting totally drained from holy energy which shows that the Light and the Shadow are two connected elements. Cata: Goblin priests are using the Light with sheer willpower for personal gains. The trainer in Kezan are sitting on pile of gold. X)

Blood Knights originally followed the same beliefs as the Human's version of the Light, taught to them by the Titan keeper, Tyr. In this stance on it, the Light is granted through personal conviction. As long as you believe in yourself and the Light, it will flow through you. After the loss of the Sunwell and 90% of their population, the Blood Knights lost their conviction and belief in the Light. Kael'thas's adventures in Outland showed him that the Draenai were granted their powers of the Light from the Naaru and realized that a captured Naaru could be forced to give this version of the Light to his people. It's not the same thing as arcane or elemental magic at all. It's still a blessing and it's only as strong as what is given to you. On the note of the Naaru's death cycle, they don't become shadow elementals, but rather void elementals. The distinct difference is that they become this when they lose their Light. As beings of pure light, this leaves them completely empty and they turn into Void Lords who then attempt to fill that emptiness with the souls of everything around them. The reason they deal shadow damage in WoW is because Blizzard couldn't justify making another elemental damage source just for creatures that have only existed once in the WoW universe.
I'm a forsaken Mage named Lotton. I think that while the forsaken aren't perfect they were a hell of a lot better than under Arthas. Also my character seems kind of indebted to sylvanas for another shot at life.
Mine was a former watchman of Stratholme, with Sylvanas' betrayal he has taken it upon himself to restart proper Lordaeronian civilization by bringing back the night watch. He wants the rules of law of Lordaeron to return.

A really cool idea is to RP as an apothecary and be a bit of a grumpy mad scientist. What I prefer is being a mage/warlock that used to be part of the Kirin Tor but died when Arthas destroyed Dalaran and my undead is really cynnical and sarcastic but looks at undeath as a 2nd chance to become even more powerful in any way he can.
I'm gonna be coming back to WoW soon after getting my computer put together but my main thought or question is how fun is it to play now a days being that there has been ten years of change since I played the game last lol. Played from launch up till 2009 or 2010 before I stopped playing.
I play my forsaken as a doctor that carries a big bag with him where he stores hands, legs, jaws and stuff like that to sell it to other forsaken. Works pretty good.
How would you actually role play a undead hunter though? Most of the time I thought of it like an Archer that died in battle or a person that died from diease but, if you're like a beast master it doesn't exactly explain why dont DONT have a loyal dead pet around with you if say you died in battle.

We actually dont really know if they were willing like the Cult of the Damned or forced. It was never truly explained. In fact I dont think their was technically any other DK's during that time, only Arthas. They made Arthas's class and made it a hero for the scourge, for game mechanics not lore. BUT if any did exist, than my theory still encompasses them.
That makes sense, id say it prob was not redconned, however; they were sworn to Nerzhul; and might when he was weakening, wanted more power and thought they could seek it better themselves. Or they did not like the Dreadlords or Arthas and thought themselves better off on thier own. Origin makes sense
my main is an undead warlock that was a mage when he was alive and he acts like the cursed personality. I really want to make a machinima about his story but I just don't know where to start like what to get and such
LightningDragonGamer You can find voice actors on voice acting alliance forums, as you can place an audition there. Sony Vegas would be a good start although adobe package is for more high quality stuff. If you are not experienced I would try to not use model viewer, because it isn't as easy to make it look smooth.What my personal recommendation is, would be the Free Far sight tool. You can find it on Mmochampion, and it can record amazing camera shots, you can even use guild mates or your own characters and record them using emotes, which would make for a great machinima.
Doron, what do you think about the cinematic with the green blood instead of red and when Gul'Dans eyes didn't go back to normal? Do you think that the ones who had the blood drink the blood of a different demon and mannaroth may of just been a distraction? (Keep in note that since warlords takes place in a different loop of time therefore things are different. Example of Garrosh not existing as a child in the time zone.)
I talked about it in the cinematics video. Also I asked Loreology about it, he said that the blood of Mannoroth is ment to be green, and when they made it red back in 2002 they didn't have a fact checker. :D
+techno Ardo Doron might answer differently, but: I'd say an undead warlock is a good choice for a mercenary roleplaying character. The undead tend to be somewhat cynical, and likewise warlocks. Add a mercenary lifestyle to that, and you've got yourself 3X cynical destruction waiting to unleash hell and havoc at the drop of a coin... :)

If you used your paladin abilities in combat, every single light-based ability would cause you immense pain, and unable to actually defend yourself, as you seem to understand. Serious RP'ers would probably consider it a joke if you actively tried to be still be a Paladin as a forsaken, Would you take a warrior seriously if they first lit themselves ablaze first before going into combat?
+Vynellin I suppose so, I mean realistically, outlaw lore is about pretty much being a pirate which ever race has in way. At least from my understanding SO FAR, that you could be like a mercenary pirate that's for higher or be a loyal navy unit to your leader, something along those lines I guess.

I haven't played much of it myself lately because I don't want to spoil everything and since it's coming out in like 2 months it might be just better to wait and see the finished product. Memories of a really smooth amazing expansion are a lot better than a game full of bugs and constant 10 minute crashes and server restarts, and don't forget character wipes every few weeks as well.
i really want the single player expiriance of lvling and exploring in wod i dont want 10000 people in the same zone as me for like a week lol so wod will start at least a week after release for me
Ivan Gushkov Then the alpha would be for you. There are a lot of people in the beta right now and it is quite cluttered. Only in certain zones it's annoying, but really the zones are huge and you use ground mounts so you probably won't find that many players around.

The player death knights aren’t part of the scourge,or Arthas.
As far as religion, you didn't mention the cult of the forgotten shadow or the echo of life, both are fairly interesting in my opinion.

Undead mages tend to be called Magus. Mine finds this undeath as a second opportunity to further is Arcane knowledge.
Made a Forsaken Rogue named Spider, going for a PulpFiction vibe… “Looks like Spider just caught himself a couple flies”….

Forsaken don't really have a bad outlook on the blood elves, as they suffered almost the same fate. :)
Since sylvanas was also part of the blood elf House Windrunner, the blood elves are one or the races the forsaken actually feel closest to.

The reason thrall went is that he was the warchief that had to hold together the horde, and show his power (possibly) by taking back a racial capital for the horde.

Forsaken DK - Human Paladin who was resserected you don't need to have ur origin be the starter zone. You could be a knight turned DK during WC3 or during WotlK (outside of starter zone for DK)

The official post about "it hurts like a b**** but works fine" for them is really outdated and the concept of how the Light works are proven to be different even back in TBC.
Vanilla: Corrupt and insane Scarlet Crusaders have used holy abilities with no problem at all.
TBC: The Light is a form of power like arcane, elemental, or nature magic and can be contained and used. Proven by the Blood Knights of the Bloodelves. Although the Light have "enlightened" them which made them realize their past mistakes when they lost connection with it(Kael'thas too back Mu'ru to Tempest Keep). Also Mu'ru are turning into a shadow elemental after getting totally drained from holy energy which shows that the Light and the Shadow are two connected elements.
Cata: Goblin priests are using the Light with sheer willpower for personal gains. The trainer in Kezan are sitting on pile of gold. X)
According to the written lore, how you use the Light varies greatly based on your personal views. Blood Knights originally followed the same beliefs as the Human's version of the Light, taught to them by the Titan keeper, Tyr. In this stance on it, the Light is granted through personal conviction. As long as you believe in yourself and the Light, it will flow through you. After the loss of the Sunwell and 90% of their population, the Blood Knights lost their conviction and belief in the Light. Kael'thas's adventures in Outland showed him that the Draenai were granted their powers of the Light from the Naaru and realized that a captured Naaru could be forced to give this version of the Light to his people. It's not the same thing as arcane or elemental magic at all. It's still a blessing and it's only as strong as what is given to you. On the note of the Naaru's death cycle, they don't become shadow elementals, but rather void elementals. The distinct difference is that they become this when they lose their Light. As beings of pure light, this leaves them completely empty and they turn into Void Lords who then attempt to fill that emptiness with the souls of everything around them. The reason they deal shadow damage in WoW is because Blizzard couldn't justify making another elemental damage source just for creatures that have only existed once in the WoW universe.

I'm a forsaken Mage named Lotton. I think that while the forsaken aren't perfect they were a hell of a lot better than under Arthas. Also my character seems kind of indebted to sylvanas for another shot at life.
If it was up to me, I'd build a Forsaken Necromancer.
A Forsaken Necromancer would be quite useful for the Horde.

A really cool idea is to RP as an apothecary and be a bit of a grumpy mad scientist. What I prefer is being a mage/warlock that used to be part of the Kirin Tor but died when Arthas destroyed Dalaran and my undead is really cynnical and sarcastic but looks at undeath as a 2nd chance to become even more powerful in any way he can.
I love the idea of a undead holy priest. In other games I was the healer who's healing would cost something to me. Useally blood.
Mi undead "Beloved" has that name cause it was all that was writen in her Gravestone, she is Mage.
I'm gonna be coming back to WoW soon after getting my computer put together but my main thought or question is how fun is it to play now a days being that there has been ten years of change since I played the game last lol. Played from launch up till 2009 or 2010 before I stopped playing.
I play my forsaken as a doctor that carries a big bag with him where he stores hands, legs, jaws and stuff like that to sell it to other forsaken. Works pretty good.

Most of the time I thought of it like an Archer that died in battle or a person that died from diease but, if you're like a beast master it doesn't exactly explain why dont DONT have a loyal dead pet around with you if say you died in battle.

We actually dont really know if they were willing like the Cult of the Damned or forced. It was never truly explained.
In fact I dont think their was technically any other DK's during that time, only Arthas. They made Arthas's class and made it a hero for the scourge, for game mechanics not lore. BUT if any did exist, than my theory still encompasses them.
That makes sense, id say it prob was not redconned, however; they were sworn to Nerzhul; and might when he was weakening, wanted more power and thought they could seek it better themselves. Or they did not like the Dreadlords or Arthas and thought themselves better off on thier own. Origin makes sense

LightningDragonGamer You can find voice actors on voice acting alliance forums, as you can place an audition there. Sony Vegas would be a good start although adobe package is for more high quality stuff. If you are not experienced I would try to not use model viewer, because it isn't as easy to make it look smooth.What my personal recommendation is, would be the Free Far sight tool. You can find it on Mmochampion, and it can record amazing camera shots, you can even use guild mates or your own characters and record them using emotes, which would make for a great machinima.
Doron, what do you think about the cinematic with the green blood instead of red and when Gul'Dans eyes didn't go back to normal? Do you think that the ones who had the blood drink the blood of a different demon and mannaroth may of just been a distraction? (Keep in note that since warlords takes place in a different loop of time therefore things are different. Example of Garrosh not existing as a child in the time zone.)
I talked about it in the cinematics video. Also I asked Loreology about it, he said that the blood of Mannoroth is ment to be green, and when they made it red back in 2002 they didn't have a fact checker. :D

I'd say an undead warlock is a good choice for a mercenary roleplaying character. The undead tend to be somewhat cynical, and likewise warlocks. Add a mercenary lifestyle to that, and you've got yourself 3X cynical destruction waiting to unleash hell and havoc at the drop of a coin... :)

Couldn't you RP a forsaken paladin? Albeit they would probably be insane to still have that much faith in the light, though it would be rather fun.
Should be possible even as a normal race class combination. Sir Zeliek from Naxxramas for example can use the power of the light even in undeath.
Gamefreak2998 The reason forsaken can't be Pally's is because of the seals. It's a constant blessing of light, much akin to setting yourself on fire if you're a forsaken.

If you used your paladin abilities in combat, every single light-based ability would cause you immense pain, and unable to actually defend yourself, as you seem to understand. Serious RP'ers would probably consider it a joke if you actively tried to be still be a Paladin as a forsaken, Would you take a warrior seriously if they first lit themselves ablaze first before going into combat?

The Forsaken can feel pain because of the Light. I'm not sure if they can feel pain because of magic, too...

Ivan Gushkov If I were you I wouldn't want to get into the beta. I haven't played much of it myself lately because I don't want to spoil everything and since it's coming out in like 2 months it might be just better to wait and see the finished product. Memories of a really smooth amazing expansion are a lot better than a game full of bugs and constant 10 minute crashes and server restarts, and don't forget character wipes every few weeks as well.
i really want the single player expiriance of lvling and exploring in wod i dont want 10000 people in the same zone as me for like a week lol so wod will start at least a week after release for me
Ivan Gushkov Then the alpha would be for you. There are a lot of people in the beta right now and it is quite cluttered. Only in certain zones it's annoying, but really the zones are huge and you use ground mounts so you probably won't find that many players around.
Um I dont think it should have been a priest all the other classes for forsaken were good but priest should be replaced with death knight
