The only way I can describe Ado at this point is quite simply "Unfair". She is completely unfair. Like, this shouldn't be allowed. Like, she's the elephant that comes rolling in, and every musician within a country mile just bolts like the road runner. She does things I've seen multiple musicians on a feature can't do. People go on about her range, which is baffling, surely, but it's not just that, it's her sheer control. Pronunciation, enunciation, timbre, the way she plays around with every note as if she's a voice actor, the emphasis, and the speed which she's capable of dishing everything out. Fleeting Lullaby absolutely slaughtered it, she's able to run through so many styles and cadences, it literally leaves the mind spinning at times. I can't gush anymore here otherwise I'd be writing a book report on the ways Ado does things that "I" a person with 7 years of prior music production literally could not for the life of you explain.
This is something I've heard a LOT from trainers who review her work. It's not so much that she's..singing as much as she's voice acting while singing to the point you hear WAY more emotion in her singing than just about anyone out there. And she does seem to have absolute and complete control of her voice. Even live when she's exhausted and on the verge of unintentionally cracking from the sheer amount of singing she's just performed, she literally swaps on the fly and comes up with something to make the cracks flow with the song or just..sound better as if they're intentional. She truly is unfair and I think one of her dreams of winning a Grammy is so realistically possible for her, you don't need to necessarily understand her lyrics to understand the passion and emotion she puts in the song. But when you DO add the lyrics and compositions you get something extraordinary.
There's also her most recent stream (deleted, it was yesterday), where she reacted to her latest live video, and this same one. She cringed so hard, it was hysterical, there's a couple clips online from it, I felt so lucky being able to hear her rant and rave like a maniacal possessed siren, it was chef's kiss, utterly astounding.
Hey, I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I love your reactions! Could you please react to “The World’s Continuation” by Ado sometime? It’s another song from the one piece film and it’s easily one of my favorites! It’s completely different from her songs you’ve reacted to so far and I think you’ll really like it :) It’d be cool if you had the captions on too because the lyrics combined with the video tell such a beautiful story, but no pressure. Thanks for the awesome videos!
It’s funny you mention her body language in the back because it’s one of the things she’s super embarrassed about in her own stream reaction of this. She kinda has a meltdown of what she’s doing with her hands iirc
Yup its Ado :) She looks so young- and in a school uniform I think? Its incredible she can sing this song in one take! Its SO hard with all those mad pitch and tone changes and she hits them all spot on! And yes- outside of the onepiece UTA character (the one with the 2 looped braids and 2 hair colors) she does use blue themes a lot for herself. Thanks for getting to all the biggest/most important Ado songs :) She deserves it. And you did a good job fixing the mic- it was totally fine to listen to.
There's a channel which uploads some pieces from her streams. The thing is that there's like three or four of them in which you can listen to her singing some of her songs the "rawest" . If you're interested I might send you the links. She sings gira gira, love ka? and Odo, so it is interesting to listen to an acapella version in which she sings much more casually, still singing with that extremely amazing voice :D

You should watch her cover of God-ish it's a real vocal treat, it really shows just how crazy Ado's voice is.
This version of usseewa is so much more raw and you can her how she changes her voice so effortlessly much more clearly. Truly beautiful.
