That WC-135 is a very old friend, we had it at Mildenhall for a while as a trainer for the EC-135 crews, went to McClelland to pick it up and got to spend an hour in the copilot seat coming back over Canada on the way back.

thank you so much for the time spent recording this. I have been watching these on flight radar and I do not claim to know anything about military aircraft so have had to google search each one and what their purpose is. To be able to see them flying though gives a whole different perspective than just the photos provided on google. I appreciate all the time stamps too!

You look at the tail numbers and some of these fantastic planes are more than 60 years old! Its unreal to think that the first crew on these planes are now all likely gone. The last ones to crew these planes are not yet born!

Nice stuff!! I get to see a lot of these over Poland in the recent months. Even got an air-to-air refueling spot over my town so "Lagr's", "Nachos" and "Juicy" are almost daily here :D Saw the Rivet Joint as well but still looking out for the Awacs. He always flies a bit too far to the north from where I live hehe :) Cheers!

I used to live near Chicago's O'Hare airport. Seeing the planes flying directly overhead was a daily ritual.
I got to be able to tell the difference between a 727,707,747.

Great video of heavy iron at Mildenhall. My only concern--where is the E-8C JSTARS? This would complete the Iron Triad (not metals but Air Force aircraft--LOL!!) Loved the two RC-135 variants, the E-3C and the KC-135 and KC-10. I had many opportunities to refuel behind each during many deployments in support OIF/OEF over a 20-year period. I would call Mildenhall the gateway to the East. I had the opportunity to land there only once during my career--taking an E-3 over on a tail-swap to the desert. We usually air-refueled three times from the states straight to the desert on a tail-swap, stopping on the ground only to refuel if one of the tanker refuelings cancelled for a variety of reasons. That happened on occasion. Regardless--great memories and such an experience. By the way--loved the footage of the C-130J and Osprey as well as the fighters. Cheers--"Tipper" Gore

Its a more interesting video than you think, before they were using a couple of surveillance aircraft, Generally in East Poland and East Romania, backed up with a couple of carriers flagged up as NATO , seems they have upped more assets in the sky now, General Pattern is Mildenhall does the day light flights, while now, UASF are doing night surveillance out of Germany, East Poland and the Greek Islands, but they have certainly increased air presence since last month, so is it, more concern or they were caught napping and moved more assets into Europe including Mildenhall, there was a drop in sorties a few weeks back as the Russia' move back east and abandon the attempts on Kiev, but this has increased dramatically, its interesting they are only using Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawks in the south Black sea.

I wonder if the current situation has made the US rethink the planned closure of Mildenhall.

I hope so. I was born in Mildenhall and now live in north Wales. Fondly remember the fantastic Mildenhall air shows which attracted 100,000 thousand visitors over the weekend. Sad to see it go.

Does anyone know if 2 of the jets in the final sequence are Saab Grippens? Don’t have usually see those about Mildenhall. Either way they are not US or British aircraft.

The nose of the AWACS plane looks really weird, never seen a nose like that on any aircraft
