Shaun, I used to drive the exact model rc car as you have and I have some quick tips! 1) make sure you balance/charge the Lipo batteries because they are volatile if not properly cared for. 2) always unplug the battery from the car after turning off the esc(electronic speed control) box that's on the car. 3)you will break the plastic parts like bumpers and a-arms but this is like the most popular rc car ever so replacements are plentiful. 4)while it is water resistant, don't submerge it because the important stuff will rust. 5) show us you jumping it like 50 feet!!

Way more than $1500 worth! More like $1750-2000! Keep on saving because it is so worth it! If you can't afford the 4x4 try getting the 2x2 with a brushed motor! It is better to get used to so you can work up to the brushless and then with a LiPo. You won't ever be able to get 4x4 but it is still awesome! SMILE MORE!

Nice some RC stuff :) . Some Tipps first of all never fully discharge the Battery or you will damage it. I think you got a Charger that will do the work but never forget to plug the little second white or other color Charging Plug to in the Charger or you will slowly damage the battery too. Never leave the Batterie unattended because they can catch fire while charging when you use them not right like discharging them to much or damage them

Traxxas, you scored big time. That seems to be the brand to get when you don't want to be frustrated or disappointed. Got my son one of the 2wd ones for XMAS a few years ago. He crashed it countless times into trees in the park -- usually full speed -- and it finally broke a $3.50 suspension part. Replace parts during battery recharge and go!

traxxas stuff is dope. I got a stampede 4x4 vxl and a rustler vxl. threw a 3S lipo battery in the rustler and it hit 59.6mph as measured by an onboard gps I mounted under the body shell. i could put the optional pinion gear in there for even more top end speed. they're stupid fast and easily upgradable. i wouldn't bother with using the NIMH batteries they come with tho, get lipo right off the bat. longer run times, faster charges, and better performance. get a nice balance charger like a thunder ac6 and you're good to go.

These guys know absolutely nothing about RC. They think its going to break, when its an OBA Slash. I bet when a small part breaks, they will throw it away because they know NOTHING about Traxxas or RC in general. It is sad real RC enthusiasts (RCSPARKS, RC Overload, ect.) have to buy their own, where people who know nothing about the hobby get it for free. Its sad.

Hey Shaun here is some advise with the Lipo battery, when it starts to slow down immediately take the battery out and let it cool down and then charge it because if you don't the insides of the Lipo batteries will touch together and explode. 🙂
But the ones that were already in them u can run it all day to 0 and they won't explode

You have to be really careful charging those Lithium Polymer batteries. If you overcharge them by accident they can explode and catch on fire. I'd recommend charging those up in the garage, away from anything flammable, and a little ways away from the nearest wall. Even if they came with smart chargers you need to keep an eye on them.
