  • @marklsimonson
    @marklsimonson ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Huh! I was not expecting you to do it that way, using a clipping mask. The technique I've seen before is where you start with the finished lettering, and then progressively erase more and more of it. But this way is better since you're not working backwards.

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey thanks! I agree the backwards way it kind of annoying and can get confusing for me. I also like that this way you’re drawing the progress rather than erasing but trying to make it seem like you’re drawing, if that makes sense.

    I LOVE your content! Just keep going and you will have a million subs in no time 😁 I will recommend keeping the videos short and to the point of the technique or tool, exploring the the tool with your audience as you do now, as it enables you generate more videos. As you cover more of of Fresco look into professional workflows where you utilise what you created on the iPad 😃 It is great to have a visual documention! Just remember to keep the naming of the videos to the exact of the tool 😁 Easier to search!

      Unfortunately you can’t export a video file with a transparent background, to get around that I choose png sequence. I explain it in this video th-cam.com/video/NNtsCWkrYv8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hzWKucmuB4wIml_n

    How about animating multi lines of hand printed letters? My issue is that one the first line is done I try to do other lines on a new layers but each layer plays at the exact timeline as the first. Is there a way to offset timelines of layers?

    • @chris-piascik

      The only way to do this would be to add some blank frames to the one you want to delay.

      That’s no problem, it just gives you the option to do either. If you’re doing an animation you can just stick with pixel.

    For some reason the text layer under my clipping mask layer...when I export...it is showing up with the white text under it, so I am not getting the full illusion of the brush-on effect although the clipping mask layer is animated perfectly. I also watched your other tutorial but I have not managed to get the animation exported without the white text on the original layer, is there a step I missed?

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm, did you try just turning that layer off when you finished with the animation? It's only there as a guide.

    • @svaniksuave

      I did, but that makes the clipping mask layer invisible as well@@chris-piascik

    Hi Chris, I have a very short GIF of about 5 frames and I am looking online on ways to get Fresco to automatically make it longer, like 5 seconds instead of 5 frames. Could you do a tutorial on how to do this? Right now my makeshift way is to import into Premiere pro and copy+paste until I have the right length. is there any other way? thanks

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I open up the Gif in a gif to video app like ‘GIF Cracker’ and that lets you choose how many times the animation loops, it’s quick and easy, and the app is free.

    OK, so my question is once when you get the frames that you want is there a way for you to erase/make the white transparent? I want to be able to put this in a video and just have the written word/animated, written word, not the background. Currently, I have both Videoleap and PicsArt as my different video editors. And I know with Videoleap you can turn your clip but you bring into the app into a layer that goes on top of your video and if it’s done correctly, the layer can deal with transparent backgrounds. What I mean by that is, let’s say I had a picture of Dorito chips, I took it into Picsart, and I erased the background making it have a transparent background just showing the chip bag. And then I bring that into Videoleap and when I turn the image into a layer just the bag of chips shows up with a transparent background, and now the video itself is the background. I hope this making sense.

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I do this in Premiere I export a png sequence from Fresco in the motion options in the export menu. The video file format Fresco uses is MP4 and that doesn’t support transparent backgrounds, but the png sequence does. I have a recent video about this process.
