    Awesome walk through! I really needed this type of step by step instruction to visualize how I was going to set it all up. And as a bonus, now I know what Barney Stinson does for a living! :D

      @@bretthydeman1173 hey are you still with Odoo? As a trainer you are absolutely fantastic! I would love love love if we could book an hour or two with you as a business advisor. My company just signed up with Odoo yesterday and we are struggling to figure out how to fit our processes into Odoo. Are you free to book these days?

      Thanks, Manufacturing has a very "dark side" sometimes, that why we try to explain and run it easily. ;-)

    hey, very informative. I would prefer to make multiple products or multiple product variants on a single manufacturing work order. Also I have one internal reference for all variants of a product. This should give me a consolidated BOM for that items to assist in picking.

    If we scrap the finished product of a Manufacturing Order, how to configure the odoo to create the new MO for the same product and Scrapped Qty?

    Hi!
    in case you want to use the same product of a given order to another, is there any way to copy automatically everything from an Order to another?

    In 28:40, how do you insert the color there in the configure product section?
    Is it automatically? 'Cause I can't find it in my odoo

    the thing here is, what happen if you want to produce ie 20 units of the final product with 2 or 3 subassembly levels? the manufacturing orders (MO) are auto generated one by one after each MO initial is finished or they are generated when 20units of the first MO are finished?
    All Odoo examples are done with 1 unit produced, this is not the real situations in the companies
    . Usually production is for several units, with unique serial numbers for final products and with different lot numbers of the components included in.
    Could you explain how to produce in a manufacturing chain, with 3 or 4 operations/processes and producing more than 1unit (ie 10 units) and all with unique serial numbers for each? How can it managed in Odoo?
    Thank you

      Hello,

    • @Odoo
      @Odoo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Odoo will generate all manufacturing orders in advance, indicating that materials are not available for more advanced bom. The MOs will become ready as soon as the missing materials are produced in the other MOs. This way, everything can be done on a production line, with self-generated MOs.
      For serial numbers, they can be entered at any point in the process. Either during production (use of tracked materials) or at the end of production (finished product).

    Hi there and thanks for the webinary
    I have a dilema:
    I'm using multilevel BoM, so there is a finished product with a different subasembly (MtO) , some of this subassembly has second level subassembly also make to order. The problem that i encounter in V12 , Enterprise is that it allows me to plan and even to produce the finall product and the first level of subasambly even if it's not ready the second level subassembly. IS there a bug or just a setting that i have to change to not allow me to produce the finished product until i'm not producing first all the subassembly?! Please help

    • @BrettHydeman
      @BrettHydeman 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. By default, Odoo allows you to proceed with a manufacturing order, regardless if the components (subassembly or otherwise) are available for use. You will end up with negative stock. This is somewhat normal in the industry. We allow negative stock to happen for a variety of reasons. If you want, you could develop a change to that behavior that prohibits production from beginning unless you have all components and subassemblies first.
