@@perez.alberto the simulator is very helpful to get started. But there are 2 things to keep in mind:
1. With your broker platform, you will get slippage on both entry AND exit
2. Your orders may not always get filled as quickly as the simulator.

Man I'm so grateful for you. I can't imagine how much MORE frustrating this journey could have been had I not had you as a guide. I would already be successful if I was able to pay for your services. During the trial I was definitely making money. But in a way, learning how to find the correct stocks myself, and paying my market tuition is probably better. It just sucks lol

Thank you Ross for doing this video since I started trading 6 months ago I always go pre-marketing aftermarket hours myself... You were just validating my theory thank you
I'd love see a video of what you are looking at for your entries and exits. I almost always pick the same stocks as you but I had some trouble this week with my entries and exits. When a stock pops up on the momentum scanner and I've seen you get in super quick, are you looking at the tape for streams of red and green? Are you looking for a change of pace to speed up on the tape? What signal are you looking at for exit? Where do your eyes go through this whole process and What are the key subtle personal indicators you are using on the T&S and LV.2?
Basically, what is your step by step process from when a stock comes up on the scanner, (Price, Vol, Float, News, etc..), then when you pull it on the chart, then when you type it into the LV.2 window are you looking for streams of green on the tape? When you stop seeing green or when you see a lot of red, do you exit? Lastly, where are you moving and focusing on throughout this whole process??

Thanks so much for this video Ross. Almost seems like you made me a personal video for the problems I am having with pre-market orders. Great facts on ordering pre & after market hours. I also enjoyed the history on market volatility changing pre-market around 5 years ago or so that you discovered. I'm very early in the learning process of the market basics and it seems looking back for trends and crunching the numbers is a must.

I’m not sure if you read my previous comments , this video makes me feel like you did. I use hot keys but sink or swim sometimes will just buy not what’s in my quantity window. I have lost a far amount of money to this happening. But has taught me some very valuable lessons on execution for buy high sell higher. Love your posts! With think or swim you can use a after hours offset by holding down the control key & clicking the offset price of your choice on the active trader ladder when buying or selling.

Ross, great video. Quick question, why not trade futures? Avoids PDT and trades 23 hrs/day.
When I look around at other traders who are making good money with small accounts, they aren’t trading futures or forex. They are trading penny stocks and small caps.
Being in Australia pre-market for us starts about 6:00 p.m. so it works really well to trade pre-market here because the actual market open isn't 11:30 p.m.
I can be over and out by 12:30 1:00 a.m.
The market is constantly changing. I started shifting to pre market a little over a month ago.
LOTS of 4 A.M. moves going on...

Thanks Ross! I've stopped trading AH as it's too hard to get in and out of orders and there's no volume, unless a stock is really moving I just end up having losses AH.
Thanks for this video Ross. Please consider covering those crazy candles that show up at 8 am. The range is huge sometimes, but the bid and ask do not reflect that range. What is going on?

Ross, would you please explain how your profit target hotkeys work? Looks like your $0.20 hotkey is set to sell at -0.20 from the Ask, but in the video you said that the offset is to sell ABOVE the Ask. Why is it negative? And how do you use them? Do you press your profit target hotkeys immediately after entering a position and they set a limit order to sell at the given offset above the Ask at the time it's executed?

I watched your videos from time to time, what kind of screens do you use or do you have some kind of special alert?
My problem is PDT, I prefer to trade wisely at open bells. Catch a few % only😢. Grinding to fund my account in the next 3 months, working 14 hrs on day I don't trade; to get over pdt. Plan is to use the same position size even after my acc is over pdt. Slow and steady.

Finviz isn’t the same as a scanner; finviz uses previous info, last day, for example, a scanner is real-time info

Hey Ross, could you post a video where you actually trade? I'm starting to lose a bit of confidence. Great video! It would be nice if TOS would get rid of TIF dropdown GTC and GTC_EXT and just disable MKT button during off hours. Also should not differentiate between off market hours and regular hours as far as Price is concerned. This would fix a lot of issues with scanner, but would probably be a huge architectural change. I dont think the ext checkbox always works in scanner.
How does TOS differentiate between pre market and during market hours?

It's hard for me to trade pre market because I'm in California. 1am is just too damn early to wake up when I have work at 8am Pacific time. I can maybe do 5am but I noticed most moves are already done by then UNTIL the 6:30 open
