    I think it's very interesting to see various boxers in action, they all develop their own personalized "punch sound". I hear a lot of people go "Tss Tss" Some go "DAH, DAH", Andre just happens to go "USH, USH". It's weird.

    love to see fighters drilling the controlling of the head on the bag. You know where your opponent's head is, you know when he's going to punch and its harder for him to reach you when you control their head. Like how he keeps his jab out there to know range and control bag

    • @martinek4826
      @martinek4826 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +YoungSage The7th Gennady loves the guys who want to outbox him.

    • @youngsagethe7th786
      @youngsagethe7th786 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Marti Nek I understand you, but Ward not only has the speed, reflex and defensive genius advantage going for him, he has the height, reach and power in both hands to set up sharp, quick strong enough punches working for himself as well too.
      Ward doesn't hit like the guys GGG has faced, not saying he will drop or definitely knock GGG out for that matter, GGG will hesitate at some points due to Wards ability to set traps and well placed punches.

    • @martinek4826
      @martinek4826 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      YoungSage The7th Gennady already met harder punchers than Ward. I'm not saying he's feather fisted but he certainly doesn't punch like David Lemieux or Curtis Stevens. And you saw he went right through Stevense's punches to demoralize him. Wards reach is actually pretty miserable for a guy of his height. I doubt he has more than inch advantage over Gennady at that. And that comes probably from shoulders so the arm length will be equal. Their speed and reflexes are equal too.
      Ward will probably try on Gennady what worked for him best against guys like Kessler and Froch because he should have more physical (not punching) power than Gennady. Smothering, wrestling, headbuts and jabs to the body. We'll see if it helps him against someone who actually can wrestle. And Kovalev can do it too because fighters from post soviet countries have some background for that unlike guys from western Europe like Froch and Kessler...

    • @youngsagethe7th786
      @youngsagethe7th786 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marti Nek That's what I meant; Ward's punching power isn't feather fisted, it AIN'T for none as they say in Chicago, they will be felt, they will be preemptive, countering, perfectly and quickly placed and thrown in quick combination with enough authority to do the job right.
      Gennady has faced NO boxer on the speed and technical skill set as Ward,
      the great difference maker that separates Andre from the rest of those guys who primarily relied on athleticism prowess with mediocre skill sets.
      Ward is a pure boxer like Rigondeaux, the skill set is the great gulf between him and the others.
      I think GGG can drop Ward, but won't be able to finish Ward by how technical and dirty his defense is especially when he's hurt.
      Ward by decision.
      It will be like Floyd and Erislandy vs Saul, a pure boxing technical blow out.

    • @martinek4826
      @martinek4826 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      YoungSage The7th You think that Ward has the same level of skill like Floyd and Rigo? Ok, this is of course subjective. Maybe I am overestimating them...
      But comparing Alvarez to Gennady is blasphemy. It just shows that you really need to do more research on Gennady. I recommend you chanel called ''rusalka afterglow'' where you have excellent breakdowns of Gennady's strategy. Canelo is flat footed fighter while Gennady is the best hunter in the business. Nobody cuts the ring like Golovkin. That's why he is the worst possible match-up for movers like Floyd or Lara. If Ward ever fights Gennady then their fight will be in no way like Mayweather or Lara vs Alvarez. Ward will try to make it physical like he did it with Kessler. He will try to fight on inside because the moment he starts running around he'll be destroyed like Monroe and others. Going to the body on inside. That seems to be so far the only way you can do some trouble to Gennady. Start running around and you just let him do what he does best. Cut the ring and catch you with his nasty midrange counter hooks.

      I used to think that way, but I question myself. If he don't *look* so impressive, why is he always winning?
      I changed my viewpoint and stopped being insecure about myself after seeing guys at the gym work a bag with speed and power.
      There are obviously other things about the Sweet Science beyond just speed and power. That is my conclusion....
