Thank you Gayle for a nice slow relaxing Sunday crafting. My blood pressure was considerably lowered. A good thing! Thank you to Rosemary for the great contribution to the grungy look. It is amazing how that one thing makes such a difference. Such helpful friends.
Hi Gayle! Yeah the rings turned out nice and you are coming along with this projects. Thanks for the company this morning, hope your weekend was fabulous. Take care! 💜
Gayle you need to put that page you made your 1st play day in 2022...the one with black glitter...in your grunge journal...maybe tear in bits to add as embellishments.
Good morning Gayle, So great that Rosemary sent you some grungy rusty rings, lol. Seeing all the pages this morning is inspiring and getting me shifted into gear for a crafty day. Have a joyful day, Angela
I know you probably have 100 or more subbies named Angela…. But I’m gonna pretend your Hi and Hugs to Angela this morning was me!! Lol. Yay! I’m so excited you’re working on your grungy Journal this morning! I love this Journal. I think the grungy ones are so freeing. You can make oopses, drip paint in the wrong place, cut something wrong (we all know there’s no mistakes in Journal making) and in a grungy Journal, “mistakes” are what give it character. Lol. Happy crafting!♥️♥️♥️
Good morning Ms. Gayle! I am working on a shabby chic teal and pink secret garden journal and it makes me think of you! I hope you have a fabulous day!
Started as art journal. now has turned into an "ideas " journal from different craft videos including your video Gayle love the grunge look better now those rusty rings on it match's better
Good morning Gayle!! I'm such a dork!! When you were talking about the rings being too shiny...I thought you were talking about your rings on your fingers!! Brain wasn't caffeinated yet...😂 I'm really enjoying watching this journal come together. Have an awesome Sunday...💜
i love Rosemary - her goodies are wonderful - yay for grungy rings now lol - Gayle i really love this journal - everything is so inspiring - what would we do without Timmy? 🙃 - thank you 🤗
One of my favorite journals.... I look forward to this one and the bag one is awesome too!!! The music paper looks like it has been dipped in bee's wax...a beautiful technique and it smells so good. Also.... a change in subjects, to get stains off my fingernails I use whitening toothpaste. It works so great!! Just rub it on your nails and leave it on for a bit and then rinse it off...it might take a couple treatments. Hugs.
Good morning! Love all the grunge! Those rings are perfect. Would still like to see a rusty make tutorial! Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed safe Sunday travel back from retreat! 💕
Yes please.. I would love to see a tutorial on that. Gayle how was the retreat? Ps I love to watch and craft along, I even talk back at the screen... You're like a creative aunt from far far away.. 😘
Good afternoon Gayle!! So lovely, I fall in love with each of the Journals you create. It's like watching a child growing up. Oil the hinge side of the rings, that should loosen it up!! I love Rosemary's Etsy. Hopefully you are feeling more relaxed after your retreat break!! Huge 🤗 hugs to you and Mike from Joey and I!! 🕉️✌️🐞
Good morning Miss Gayle☕ I am always sooo happy when you get the grungy journal out to play in!! It's looking awesome girlfriend...I laughed so hard when you said Rosemary told you she couldn't take it anymore😂 The rustic rings made such a difference in the color and size both..Good call Miss Rosemary!! You and Mike stay warm and safe. Lots of love and hugs from Kentucky💙
Those are some A-1 grungy rings Gayle! Suggestion #1: When moving pages from 1 set of rings to another, start at the back. It's so much easier to lay the pages onto the back rings while you hold the front part of the rings in your other hand, plus you can see what your doing easier. I only figured this out after moving a *whole bunch* of pages onto a bigger set of rings. Musing #1: Would a small folded & glued strip of paper slid over the edge of the page where each of the rings are maybe stay attached better than the reinforcement rings? Or maybe, better yet, a whole strip down the inside of the page. It would mean having to re-punch the holes but might be worth it and kind of fun finding the right paper..
You never cease to amaze with this journal. I love what you did in this video. The utilization of the beaded piece was such a great contrast to the aged and tattered additions. Every page is textural and interesting. Can't wait for more!
Re cereal plastic … Natasha from treasure books TH-cam has a video on uses. One fun one is to sandwich a napkin between two layers and iron (parchment paper between plastic and iron). I have tried it and it makes really interesting textured laminated pieces.
Natasha at Treasure books has some really good ideas to use the cereal box liners. I know I don't comment a lot but I LOVE your videos and watch them religiously lol. Even hubby knows your voice and says "good morning Gayle" lol. I watch your videos every morning while having coffee and we share an office/craft room so he listens too whether he likes it or not haha
Hi Gayle, I love it when you hi and hugs to Angela, I always think it's for me but I know you have a thousand subscribers named Angela, lol. Loved this video! Made this laugh 🤣🥰
I enjoy your thinking, talking process. It is a perfect teaching/tutorial method. I watch several vids on Junk Journal and yours is the best for me. T.Y. Blessings. 😍👍
Rusty rings look amazing. I was at Sams club the other day and happened to notice spam on the shelf and thought the price has REALLY gone up! It was a 8 pack of spam, but it was like $25. You know times are tough when spam is out of our price range….
Hi Gayle, I love your videos ....u make my day, I'm Pauline from South Africa....all your story's and I loved your snow video...and your grungy book, is there a video on how you made the telephone book page..I would love to see how u made all the pages..lots love ❤
Those grungy rings stand out perfectly. The pocket page was a great way to use up those envelope pieces. But the best part was that gorgeous paper you used to decorate and add as another page. You may be able to spray hairspray to keep those beads from running wild. Thanks for the lovely tutorial.
Thank you Rosemary for sending Gayle those rusty rings. The shine bothered me too! LOL I've never made a grunge journal but learning some great ideas. Have a blessed day!
Good morning Gayle! 💕Oooo… still loving this grungy fluffy girl. Simply scrumptious! 😍 Hats off to Rosemary and the perfect rings! Yay! 😆 (one tiny drop of sewing machine oil at the hinge should free them up nicely). I’m going through a napkin bin. My hands are too achy for fussy cutting during football this afternoon so I’m gathering up (some of) the napkins needing backs removed as an alternative TV activity. 😄 Hope you and Mike are doing well. 👍
Hi! Am loving your grungy journal (the grungier the better!!). And I’m getting several ideas from you on this binder! 💃🏻 Thx as always . Will also check out Rosemary. Keep up your great ideas! 👌👏🏻👏🏻
I don’t have to always watch you craft an exciting project I just like listening to you chat away to us. I’m sure you must know but if you were to spray the paper with beads on with hairspray they would stay put. Luv and hugs xx
Hi Gayle! A drop of WD40 on just the hinge should make the rusty rings open easier. Treasure Books on TH-cam has several videos on using cereal bag liners, for future reference.
I am in LOVE with the dictionary paper in the pocket you first put in at 17:10 ! Does anyone know if it's from a paper pad or if it's a printable you can get somewhere? The Lunar Moth part is calling me lol.
The dictionary page is the back side of scrapbooking paper, I just don’t know what paper it was. So sorry to not be helpful! I made that pocket a long time ago, so the memory escapes me. 🥴❤️
@@gayleagostinelli_ct That's more than ok, Gayle! At least I know it's a scrapbooking paper and not a digital ❤️ Inspires me to try and make something similar :D ❤️
I don't know if anyone has already suggested this idea, and I don't even know if it would work but do you think rubbing the rusted rings with bees wax would help the pages move more smoothly?
hint: a right dominant crafter will have an easier time transferring ring bound pages if worked from left to right and back to front pages from the old rings to the new rings. 🦌💌❤️📚
Hi and hugs to you, now I want Spam. I love spam but not straight out of the can it has to be fried sliced really thin and fried crispy like bacon with melted cheese on a sandwich, Yum. I remember when I bought my first house, my house payment was $199 a month. I thought oh my god what have I done I’m never going to be able to afford this I’m gonna die, those were the days.
Hi Gayle, maybe some WD40 on the hinge part might make them easier to open! Just a thought.. love, love watching your videos . If l wake in the night which is often, l switch to your videos lol.. Stay safe! 🥰
Gayle: well,- Rosemary was right,- the rusty rings did make a difference. However, I’m not too sure Hemingway is happy with you covering up this his book jacket page. Haha Overall, you did a nice job on the grunge journal. It’s turning out to be quite a journal! Carol from California
Gayle how much do you sell your beautiful journals for. I love your grungy ones but I want pages where I can actually write on and since I am gay, I would love images of men throughout the journal not modern but vintage men
My journals are priced differently depending on several factors including size, time, one of a kind vintage items included, embroidered pieces included, intricacies of the cover, etc. They are anywhere from $75 to $350 at the moment. ❤️
Thank you Gayle for a nice slow relaxing Sunday crafting. My blood pressure was considerably lowered. A good thing! Thank you to Rosemary for the great contribution to the grungy look. It is amazing how that one thing makes such a difference. Such helpful friends.
I absolutely love what you are doing in this journal Gayle. The envelope ends were great stacked. Love ya, Amy💕
Watching the creation of this grungy journal is fun! 🙂
Hi Gayle!

Super fun video.! I sorted while you crafted! Love it, I hear the pure joy in your voice! Have a wonderful evening! Hugs! 🤗🤗🤗

Gorgeous!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Especially the last ephemera peace, the place on it is Marche-en-Famenne, a place here in Belgium 🇧🇪😍

Thanks Rosemary for making the rusty rings so we could see all the glorious grungy pages.

WD-40 the hinges of the rings. They will
Olsen up. Just don’t get it elsewhere on the rings as it might remove the rust treatment.
