    Yazdani is enormous! Thick arms, legs, and swift as hell for any size. What a great wrestler!

    Arguably the best wrestler of our present decade. Reza Yazdani.

    Lawl. First thought USA would dominate 97kg, but thef i saw Yazdani steppin' on The mat and thought: "No, literally its Iran"
    If Yazdani hadnt been injured, he would Be Olympic Champ.

    • @michaelgrimm
      @michaelgrimm 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Erwin Schrödinger That's the problem. He is always hurt. Not to mention faking hurt on the mat to get time. He's a delicate flower and an amazing wrestler. lol

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +michael Grimm Ah Grimm you sound so grim. Yazdani can wrestle with two american boy scots at the same time and still win. People at these highest levels of sport get injured all the time in all sports. The refs have always the power to show the yellow card to any time waster and so long as I know Yazdani has never even been cautioned. You are a beginner in the world of wrestling, like 2000 years a beginner, what the hell do you know about it?

    To my idea he is more better than Hassan yazdani.
    I love him ; if one day I can go to Iran I will go to his home town jouybar and find him.
    Reza I love you man. You are retired after so many years but still I’m watching your match’s and enjoy it.

    I'm a Yazdani fan, but why hate on Varner for earning gold? He beat every guy he faced along the way and, at the end of the tournament, was the only guy at 96 kilos without a loss. To me, he EARNED that medal, unlike Slay in 2000. That said, I don't think Jake's among the top three at 96 kilos this year, but for a slew of reasons, from injury to flat out underperformance, none of those other guys beat Varner. It's time to get over it. Varner won Olympic gold and that will never change.

  • @yggiz06
    @yggiz06 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yazdani was a very good sport after he had his hand raised. he very much deserved the win and made Iran look classy with how he acted. All athletes (and youtube posters) should try to have half as much class as this man.

    Yazdani is the tiger of north it takes a miracle to defeat him. US has big ambitions in wrestling but for iran it's been bonded with history. America is a great nation but some americans are total disappointment with making ignorant comments. It's a shame talking badly of a different nation. Viva iran peace from iran

    Wow I watched the olympics and thats all I can say. I saw the bracket and I said wow it almost looked like a set up to get the American to the final. This guy is nowhere close to being even the top 5 in his weight class. Gatsalov and Yazdani where there lol. This Olympic was BS.

  • @ShogunRuaFights
    @ShogunRuaFights  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Exactly and you got this guy coming here trying to rub it in like Varner just pinned Yazdani in the final lol.. If I would rank the division I wouldn't even put Varner in the top 5, and very low on Top 10... but either way he's the Olympic champ now, so let the Americans blow smoke up each others asses and enjoy the moment.

  • @GBDazzler
    @GBDazzler 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yazdani blew his knee and all the best wrestlers were beaten by yazdani and were on his side of the draw, only tough guy varner wrestled was gogshelidze and he himself had a torn acl.

  • @toddcosta8192
    @toddcosta8192 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was surprised to see Varner win gold, but good for him anyway. I thought Jake Herbert would medal, but he was on the tough side to the bracket. I also thought Simmons is and was better than Haze and had a better chance to medal. Varner is so defensive, I wish he would open up more because it seems like he can score when he opens up. He is and always will be an olympic champ now and to the end of time, its the books so to speak.

  • @Villanforsome
    @Villanforsome 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Varner winning gold was probably the biggest fluke of this Olympics. Only good wrestler he beat was old Gogshelidze with a torn ligament.

    guess what, the fact is that yazdani did get hurt and varner did place first at the most important tournament of every 4 years. the odds are very good that yazdani would have beaten varner, but there's always a small chance varner would have had the match of a lifetime and still win. how many people picked azgarov over kudukhov before the tournament? please tell me that. yet give credit where it's due, both of them won

    you mean like Jordan Burroughs defreating an Iranian wrestler in 2011 and 2012 for a world championship and olympic gold? There's no need to compare the two countries based on a sport any ways. If you want to do that, but 24 Iranians in football (american football) pads and have them play an NFL team in that sport. Shit, have them play a really good high school team and they would get their asses handed to them. See how dumb that sounds though? You probably never wrestled anyways...
