I'm also a father of five and I do feel the sadness of this gentleman. Kids this generation are different. When our kids were young they listen and respect us. But as they are grew older they think they can do things by themselves and they don't need no one. They are acted out smart their parents and disconnected them. They don't have the need of parenting to fulfill their heart as we did. Most of them are only care about themselves and never appreciate the one that gave them lives until it's too late. For example, like some people said, "I miss my parents very much but they are all gone." So kids, please, please come home when it's mother's or father's day. Your parents are still waiting for you and love you very much. Learn how to love your parents because someday you'll become a parent too.
Some people are so lucky to have a great dad like him but they take that for granted. While, some people will do whatever to have a dad like him. That’s what makes me so sad about the Hmong community. Please love your parents. You don’t want to regret later on.

Some kids are just ungrateful. We only have 1 son and we love and spoil him so much. Now that he is grown and an adult it seems like he doesn't even care and show that he appreciate us as his parents. I hope its just a phase because he was once so talkative and fun to talk to and now he's in his own world. It's sad that although some parents love their kids so much the kids don't repay the same love back. Like what did we do wrong.

i'm truly grateful that i have a great loving son, because my wife and i separated since he was young...i left him to his mother st the age of 5, but i always did my part as his father...i told him although i'm not with him physically, but mentally i'm there...i send him money every month fly him to see me every summer... i moved to live and support him while going through college.. he graduated now working and he told his gf, if she can't accept me then she's not the one for him, because i have him everything, took cared of him, so it's his turn to take care of me when i'm old... i'm truly blessed to have a wonderful son in my life.
