Kathryn's joy is so infectious! Guys...this is seriously so freaking momentous! You've had so many incredible experiences and hikes and seen so much natural beauty. Alaska is such a rugged place and it's no joke doing what you're doing. It's quite incredible and as a long-time fan I am so pumped to see ya'll taking this epic journey. You have inspired my GF and I to make some big changes to our lives in order to travel more. Thanks as always for all your inspiration and guides. They really are so helpful.
That means a lot to us, David! Our number one goal is to be a resource and inspire others to get out and travel! It was a momentous occasion to finally see that welcome sign. It felt so good to finally be here! Alaska has been amazing so far and we can't wait to share what we've been up to!
I lived in Fairbanks for 5 years 30 yrs. ago. Bore a child there too. Loved every minute of it. Did also live near chena "hot" springs. Miss it. For now back in Calif.
That's awesome! Our original plan was to spend some time up there on this trip, but after getting sick I'm not sure that we will have time for it now. We'll just have to come back!
I read so many of the comments earlier and was tearing up to read so many heartfelt comments from your wonderful subscribers…it means the world to me to see how much people appreciate you three (couldn’t leave Konie out) and all the wonderful information and places you share. Then I watched the video and teared up watching your pure joy and excitement for this epic milestone! It’s been in the future for so long and now it’s reality! The bears (whoa a grizzly, those cuuute black bear cubs and the one standing 💞), the mama moose and that adorable baby and a WOLF! Just wow! I am so proud and excited for your adventures in Alaska and I love the new “Adventures of A+K’s Adventures in Alaska” graphic! Have an adventurous, fun filled and safe time! 😘❤️❤️❤️🐶🥰
All the comments are really really nice and mean so much to us as well! We are lucky we get to do this and to get such a pouring of high praise for our work is simply amazing! I live on Vancouver Island, so I’m glad you enjoyed it! For about 15 years, one of my customers was a Texas businessman. He owned an enormous construction company based out of El Paso. He had a holiday home here, which I looked after. A lovely guy, he built his company up from nothing, his start in the industry was working on building the Alaskan Highway as very young guy, so I’ve especially enjoyed watching that stretch of your journey!
I would’ve hug that sign of Alaska too, Kathryn! Congrats! This journey has been epic! Thanks for sharing it with us! Eternally grateful! God bless you! ❤️
Woohoo! My kids and I all clapped and cheered for you watching you cross in! And the moose with a baby was the coolest! Can't wait to see your adventures in Alaska.

Super, well done photography. Those mountains are spectacular. A WOLF.. that is amazing. He looked incredible. I remember well that stretch of "bumpy" road. Good to know it hasn't changed. Looking forward to more great adventures. Thanks so much for all your work.. and excitement 😆
Ya that stretch of road was something else! The wildlife was such a cherry on top to the Yukon and Canada for us! It was incredible! We're stoked to be here! Thank you!
Thank you for your Alaska playlist. We are sisters who are retired teachers and are planning a trip from the geographical center of Texas to Alaska in the summer of 2024. We so appreciate all of the budget friendly things show in your videos because it's helping us plan our trip. Perhaps our paths will cross some day. Until then, safe travels.
That’s awesome! That sounds so fun! We have tons more content on our website as well including a guide to driving the Alaska Highway, Cassiar Highway, 3 National Park guides, Valdez, etc. Our written guides are even more detailed and thorough than our TH-cam content can be. We hope they’re helpful!

I'm beside myself!! Thanks so much for sharing your travels and your excitement... definitely contagious. I cant wait to follow your path for real next spring!!! God bless and keep you safe ~k
We really hit the jackpot on the wildlife on our last day in Canada (for a bit)! We were so excited to finally get here and we've had a blast so far! Can't wait to share more!
You have just finished our stomping grounds. we live on northern Vancouver Island and using a teardrop camper we explore northern BC, Yukon and Northwest Territories, have for years. You did the Yukon justice, for that I thank you. Canada is all to often treated like something you have to get past in order to do Alaska. PS: coming home down the Cassier one year we saw 11 bears in one day. That is something you do not forget.
The people who blaze through BC and the Yukon are really missing out. There is so much to see and do there. We are excited to see more on our way back down. We plan on taking the Cassiar Highway back and are really excited for it!
What an opening to the video. I was so pumped for you both as you went through the recap of how you got there, Kathryn you were so excited, but then immediately followed by a grizz, a mum and baby moose and then a flippin' wolf?!!!? The wildlife re-cap at the end was mega cute too! ❤️ Some of my US border crossings have been very painful and I imagine it's a bit trickier for me without a US passport but yours seemed to run so smoothly! Really looking forward to seeing everything you get up to in Alaska - the ice climbing shot looked especially epic!
The Yukon really gave us an awesome "goodbye and see ya later!" The grizz and wolf were bucket list! We were relieved and surprised by the easy border crossing, but ya we can see how they might really grill non Americans. The ice climbing was soooo epic!
Oh man that makes us really happy to hear that we could play a small part in that! We're glad you had such a good trip! To many more! Thanks and thanks for watching, Detrick!
I just loved seeing the pure joy on your faces, especially Katheryn! I'm so happy that you're finally in Alaska. I'm sure you are both having the time of your lives. I can't wait to see your adventures!
After being stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage for two years, I drove down the Alaska Highway in October 1975. It still had 1,500 miles of gravel road in those days and I tore up the suspension on my car, but still loved the drive. Still have a coyote hide I purchased in Whitehorse.

Oh my!!! Your emotion in crossing into Alaska made me tear up too. Brought back the memory of driving back up years ago, by myself with my little 4# poodle, pulling a 12’ trailer, remember feeling sooo alone. But was overwhelmingly happy when I crossed into Alaska, SUCCESS, no problems or issues….but the kicker was when I got into Tok and finally reached my son in Anchorage on the phone, and I cried like a baby!! Relief!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I have lived up here since 1978, love it. Winters can be hard with the dark and being so long, but summers are awesome. Hope you are enjoying your visit up here!!! Love love love your videos, thank you for sharing your life!

Yee-Haa!! I got 2 YT bees in Alaska now. Oh, wait Three. One's gold mining, the other is still trying to find an adventure (not really). And you two. What a motley crew to draw to. Don't forget to check out the whale rides. Something new they started last year. I don't believe it🙂.And don't forget to bring some of that shiney home. Maybe i can get you set up with that gold miner up there and he can show you the ropes. He's in a one building town. Gold mining all around there. That would be so cool, to see y'all come back with some real gold. Be cool. Peace!
I feel a little emotional that the Journey to Alaska is over and that it’s now time for Adventures in Alaska. You’re excitement is contagious and I love it. Safe travels!
It was a big moment to see that sign and cross into the state. We're thankful for the journey we had to get up here and this was the goal all year to be here so you're right it is emotional to accomplish that and move into the next chapter! Thanks, Courtney!
Hey guys!!! Wow!! You guys made it!!! So happy for you guys!!! I still have to catch up on your previous videos. Katherine, I literally cried when you ran hugged the Alaska sign...what I learned from this video is that when you work hard and aim for your goals you will definitely achieve success even it's driving to Alaska. And I am sure this is not easy. Hope you both have an amazing trip in Alaska :)
It's been a long, fun trip, but yes it's had it's stressful moments as well! We've learned a lot and had a fantastic time so far! Thank you and thanks for watching!

Thank you so much! Check out our website where we have just wrapped up writing itineraries and guides from our time in Alaska. We share tons more things to do and see than we can fit in our videos. We hope y'all have a great trip!
Woohoo! You made it to AK!! I’m almost as excited as y’all were!! Can’t wait to see all adventures in AK!! Amazing wildlife sightings!! AK is a beautiful state!! Be safe!!
Congratulations on making it to Alaska. Author James Michener wrote a novel called "Alaska" that I know you would enjoy reading. It's been a long time since I read it, but I recall him writing about the extreme hardships getting themselves and all the required gear over the mountains from Skagway AK to the Yukon gold fields. Highly recommended read.
I'll look into that book! Reading fiction and non fiction before we visit a place is one thing I really wish I could do more of before we visited a place. Thanks for the rec!
Welcome to my home state! Hope you take advantage of what a magical place it truly is :) really its own world of beauty and a trip you’ll always remember when telling the kiddos ;)

Relief!
It was a big moment for us!
Ya we can see how it would be lonely out here if you're by yourself! We hope you had a great trip!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I have lived up here since 1978, love it. Winters can be hard with the dark and being so long, but summers are awesome. Hope you are enjoying your visit up here!!! Love love love your videos, thank you for sharing your life!
Congratulations! So wonderful to see you make it to Alaska!🌲🐻
Thank you! We're so excited to be here!
Congrats. My wife and I want to drive to AK next year. We followed and went to Honeyville in Durango last year. Love watching your videos and you guys are a great couple! Have fun A&K in AK!!
Oh that's awesome! Durango is so fun! We hope y'all can make the trip up here next year! We hope to have a lot of written content by then to supplement our video content.
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Fabulous video! I'm so excited for you both. Loved your sign hugging, LOL! Can't wait to see the next months of travel. Gotta go back and catch up on some I've missed from PNW to now. Have a blast!!!
We were so happy to see that sign! 😂 Thanks, Paula!
Congratulations well done on a fabulous series something to be proud of 👏👏👏 also something to show your grandkids when you get some 👍
We're pumped to be here! Thanks!
Be cool. Peace!
Wahoo! Mining would be a pretty wild experience!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'll see what i can do to set it up. He's a pretty cool guy and always likes to teach.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Am getting in touch. Left a message for him. It might take a day or two to get back to me.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Check your business mail. I am totally new to how to send things through this. Get a hold of me on Gold mining in AK.
Congratulations on completing the epic trip!!! You have inspired me to drive up to the Yukon, I live in Vancouver, and explore the North.
Alright! That's what we like to hear! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Hey guys!!!
My wife and I are planning an extended Alaska trip and really enjoy your videos. You do an excellent job of bringing us with you on your adventures. You have an infectious enthusiasm and joy for living.
Thank you so much! Check out our website where we have just wrapped up writing itineraries and guides from our time in Alaska. We share tons more things to do and see than we can fit in our videos. We hope y'all have a great trip!
We are in Whitehorse. Going to tok tomorrow. We feel like we’re right behind you. We are heading to soldotna. Safe travels

Wahoo! It's been a great journey to get here and we've had a ton of fun since being in Alaska!
High Five to both of ya! It was so incredible seeing the variety of wildlife along the way. That Griz and then the Wolf, woo hoo!
We really hit the wildlife jackpot that day!
Aw! Congratulations guys! So excited for you!😁 SO cool that you’ve already seen a wolf and a grizzly bear!😮
We hit the jackpot on the wildlife that day! We're so pumped to be here!
Welcome to my home state! Hope you take advantage of what a magical place it truly is :) really its own world of beauty and a trip you’ll always remember when telling the kiddos ;)
We're going to give it our best shot! We'll remember it for a long time I'm sure! Thanks!
Congrats! Can’t wait to see all your adventures!
Thanks, Carla! We're excited to share!
