    Very in-depth and professionally done video! My only suggestion is just run the wrench strip straight down the width of the breach in the shortest wrench. You should be able to get more on the rack. It may wobble a bit.

    I bought the same set to fill the same cart for outside my shop. I had the same issue with the socket not fitting and i just drilled the center of the socket out just a tiny bit to clear the casting marks out. and as someone already pointed out those organizers are meant to be used drive end up but they seam to be working that way also.

    One advantage of the ICON tools over Quinn is that you can order individual pieces for ICON sets now from the replacement parts list. I haven't seen Quinn on there yet. Nice if you lose pieces or they're stolen, but I lean towards Tekton anyway. 😁

      Eh they are nice but I still grab my 20 year old snap on every time. So much smoother although the handles are super similar not knocking icon they have some nice stuff.

    A quick tip the sockets are supposed to be placed with the drive side face up that way they will fit 👍

    Pittsburgh Pro seems to be usually a step above regular Pittsburgh. It's very strange at Harbor Freight, but Pittsburgh Non-Pro can be straight up garbage or actually be pretty decent. I usually buy Pittsburgh Pro stuff since I don't need much better for my Automotive Tools. I've got a lot of Pittsburgh Sockets and they've lasted me a year. I also have a lot of DeWalt sockets.
    I can definitely say Pittsburgh Pro ratchets are far better than the DeWalt ratchet and Stanley ratchet I own. I also own a Gear Wrench which is pretty good.

    i have a few sets of the pittsburgh sockets and mine have been great. i have never broken one but i also own some impact sockets so i dont need to abuse the chrome sockets.
    great video.

      i finally managed to break a socket with a breaker bar and a 4 foot pipe after almost 4 months of daily use. in my own shop i have and use impact sockets but at the time in the school shop there was only a small set of small impact sockets.

    Just a heads up, your sockets are meant to be stored upside down in the pillar style organizers

    I see you are just starting off. Buy once,cry once comes in to play here. Get Channelock brand or Knipix.Irwin or Malco vice grips. One n done and dont cost a hellofa lot. I got Channelocks I use everyday that Ive had for well over 30 years.I tell you this as Ive tried those Pittsburg pliars and they are pure junk

      i agree, but as the budget i was given for the tool load out was limited i made do with what i could, leaned more towards quantity with the vice grips. Personally i have used the vise grip brand, but defiantly to try the Knipix tools out.

      I literally couldn’t buy the same amount of tools from snap on, Mac, or Matco if I wanted to. Even with all of their credit programs. I bought 2 things from a tool truck and I will never ever buy anything else. It is an absolute fucking rip off. Snap on guy can go kick rocks.

    I hope you guys know that in order to get anything warrantied in that kit you have to take the whole kit back. And if there's anything missing you're screwed. This is what my local harbor freight told me.

    • @fsb_-bf3th
      @fsb_-bf3th ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a temporary kit that’ll get you by for a long time with putting money aside to buy other kits if you’re into that, if not I’m sure there’s individual pieces cheap on the racks at harbor freight. And then set the other pieces in a “go kit” if you will.

    • @hungryhungryhummer
      @hungryhungryhummer ปีที่แล้ว +8

      No. I asked my local harbor freight when I bought it they said just bring the one thing back that’s broke and they’ll pull one out of a kit on the shelf.

    • @rar91181
      @rar91181 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's really nice of them. That's a store going the extra mile for the customer. But that's not the case at my local harbor freight. I've asked every manager that works there and I get the same response. @@hungryhungryhummer
