In most part of asian countries, a women who have sex before marriage is a taboo thing. And parents assume that you already "defective" and it's a shame thing to pair with someone who still keep their "precious thing". in the end to stop that shame feeling they decided to pair up the victim and the rapist and actually that is such a dumbest thing to do. Pair them up will be just make that victim as his/her sex slave and makes it worst.

i love how she talked about his . how she explained how psychological trauma doesn't have a healing time as does physical trauma ( which may not always heal all the way but does more-so quickly irregardless than psychological pain.) and how even men get raped cause a lot of times people don't think of men at any age of being able to be raped as we don't hear , report or think of man to be taken advantage of that way cause either we think of them as the perpetrators only , when no matter the age or the build a man can be raped by either another man or women. also women can rape other women. there is no gender that cannot have case of such , no gender match up or age match that doesn't. i wish we would go more in detail about the pain and suffering of all types of rape victims so everyone feels they have a voice and place to reason safety.

I already knew about that law on Korea after seeing some movies based on real cases. I was shocked, so I had to share with my brother so he could feel as mad as I was, because I like to get mad together.
Anyway, it took a child to be abused for them to start thinking... This makes me just believe on how many Korean woman had to deal in that time, if people are standing by it to discuss if an assault is a crime or not speaks itself of the people considering not to be. Means at some point they did they or borded the same don't want it to be called what it is, a crime.
In Brazil we have law but anyway they are not used as they should. Is more easy for the women to kill the perpetrators and end up in jail than they give them what they deserve. Is a miracle when they give two years of prison to anyone. I remember celebrating a friend's case, because she was young when happened, she had to take to justice when older, and between family blame and all sh@ she got the two years, but as the miss said here it takes time to even start healing, I can't even say you can heal, since I have been through the same, have to say still haunts me to this day and f@ up every aspect of my life that I didn't know could have affected.

Your body in its wholeness includes your emotional and mental state. I can’t imagine what that judge was thinking of by having the victim marry the man who raped her. That’s traumatizing. I think people then and now feel ashamed that they were raped. It’s not the victim’s fault...at all. The one who should feel ashamed is the one who violated someone else.
