It was a good documentary but it should have been a two part or even a three part. There could have been another programme on his time managing Kildare and Laois. A great manager should have won more with kildare and Laois but they won sweet fxxx all before he was manager.

Really interesting. No doubt a great player and part of a great era for Kerry as manager. Saw him play a few times. Comes across as the definitive cute Kerryman. Broke rules on sponsorship (GAA is an amateur organisation) but maybe they deserved a return for their effort. Clearly didn’t like the Dubs and didn’t see respect for Dublin as opponents (maybe I missed it). Must be hard for him seeing Dubs do the 5 in a row. Micko undoubtedly a tough cookie and very successful both on and off the pitch.
Wonderful man. Met him briefly in Waterville late on a summer's evening. He was packing the car to head to a training session.
