I simply covered the pins with gorilla contact adhesive. Problem solved. And if I ever need to get to the front diff then I’ll just pull the glue off as it’s flexible and not hard.
Yeah I heard of people doing that, but I rather not use glue on a 600 dollar rig. The pins I got were cheap, and seemed better to me. But more than one way to solve the problem. Thanks for watching.
@@joebalderas2672 i guess it works. It is gorilla glue branded shoe glue. The pins are pretty cheap. Mine have held up good and better than having glue on your nice truck.
better method than using tape as I have seen some using in videos to stop them popping out. Can only imagine the tape would come off if it got wet in puddles or snow.
Hi I got a problem on my losi lmt well my stock servo went out so I went ahead and I put another one in thinking that it was just the servo well it went out but before it went out I figure I turn up the avc it work very good but the servo went out again do you think its the receiver
I noticed you have limit straps on your axles. Does that add any durability to your rig, or just for scale looks? I just got my LMT and was looking at that mod but only want to spend money on durability enhancement over scale looks.
Oh ok kool. Now do they really help save the shocks my shocks kind if suck out of the box. No rebound from them and really a bouncy rig oil is full I checked
@@geraldlowe1756 In theory they should work. You would have to do long term testing. Straps only help shocks last longer. Take the shocks off and go up in oil weight. I went up 5 weight in mine
Yeah i thought about that sounds like a plan love this rig tho really i love all of them lol. Today is my birthday so I'm thinking on going to my hobby store and picking up the axial Rubicon III crawler
At the time of this video not sure if those were out. This was very early in the lmt days. But I do have those axles under it now. Been a long time since I have had the lmt out though. I did a lot of work to it and was getting some binding in a gear someplace and never got to fixing it. I should get it working again soon.
Wow great tip! I already have upgraded my Traxxas Maxx and X-Maxx pins so I a pile of those screw pins! 👍🙏💪🤗😬
Perfect
Feels like a real car mechanic
Great job bro love that truck
Thanks 👍 It is a very fun truck for sure. I been really enjoying it.

Does that gorilla contact adhesive idea work ? Is that exactly what it is called ? Thanks

@@RCPropaganda whether it's $60 or $600 I don't care as long as it works tbh. Thank you
I think the dremel method is the better way you get more threads in to the plastic
exactly

@@RCPropaganda did it take one pack of the traxxas screws or two to do them all?
@Dobermans rule Just one back is all you need I believe.
@@RCPropaganda thanks buddy!
dude i was just getting ready to message you cause i lost my kingpin today but this popped up lol
Nice. I did this and have had no problems yet.
Great info 👍👍
Question did you need or have to do anything to the threads on the new pin 🤔 I read some people were grinding off the lower/last thread
it has been awhile since I did this. I can not recall if I did. I dout that I did.
Thank you for the tip, question what length is your limiter straps
105mm
I've never had this problem

Not sure. Sometimes electronics are weird. Would have to trouble shoot it some how. Hope you get it fixed.
Hem this didn’t happen to my lmt

They are there to help the shocks last longer. They are not getting topped out so much. The straps should help shocks last longer.
@@RCPropaganda do you have a list of hardware you used to mount them up?
@@3srandy just a 2mm screw and nut. Not sure how long.
Very nice 👍😊👍
Thank you 👍
nice reliability hack!

Where did you get the straps for the front end
Forgot where I picked them up, but they hare hot racing limiting straps. Just search for them they should come up. You want 105mm

Easy fix. Run the truck, break the axle. Then the pin can't fall out
