    can I ask a question ? What is the use of A B C D on the serger? I just bought this serger and I don't know where those letters are used. can you guide me

    my serger thread is sticking out from the edge of the fabric. what am I doing wrong

      There should be just small thread loops sticking out past the edge. But if there is too much, try making the cutting width wider. That's the knob above the length knob. 'Hope this helps.

    And what about serging a piece without cutting the fabric, corners, etc.

      if you are refering to not cutting them before hand, you can use a fabric marker to mark where you want to cut and let the blade on the machine do the cutting. if you are referring not letting the machine cut, you can disengage the blade. but it is important to not that the stitch must be on the edge of whatever you are serging. For the type of stitch you would see on the bottom hem of most shirts (chainstitch) you would need a chainstitch machine.
