For such a rocky start, BFV sure had a better character arc than BF2042.

Exactly, we shouldn’t forget the state this game launched in and controversies it went through (“we don’t have the tech” and “time to kill”). But by its last patch it was so good with very cool and good looking uniforms. I really love this game and Dice should have done much more DLC. Imagine D-day, Stalingrad, Kursk, Berlin with these visuals
@MusketeerYanick yeah it's a shame they abandoned it and battlefront 2 for the mess that became 2042. I loved bfv from the day it launched cause I never encountered all the bullshit people were talking about
When you just want a nice AR build and you want to play classic battlefield. Bf1 and bf5 were just not it. They definitely had some good moments but I just didn't enjoy the guns

@@flagondragon1854 - While I remember the very rock start BF5 had and all the deserved controversy it had, it aged very well. It really sucks that Battlefield 5 and Battlefront 2 support got cut for the mess of a game that 2042 was. They both had so much more potential, it's really disappointing to think about.

BF1 is still great in 2023. Not a lot of FPS games last this long and still hold up.

I love how Jack can just walk around in the middle of everything, taking in the cinematics like he is on a Sunday stroll. Meanwhile, I barely peak my head up over a rock for a second and someone with a Boys blows it off from the other side of the map and then a bomb drops bombs on my motionless body just to ensure I am finished off... 🤷 haha
I remember using a glitch to full gold the boys haha.

Every jackfrags game I watch. Walking around and no one sees him. If he meets an enemy it's one of the lesser good.
Me playing is instant kill if I'm still for one second.

I'm praying developers looks back at BF1 and BF5 and take notes for the next release. Proper games with longevity unlike 2042. Some of the best gaming experiences you'll have still to this day
bf1 and V are not old games. bf2 is a old game maybe. and the best battlefield ever done. the only one that gets close of that frenchise is battlefield3. i hate how people call 5 year old games "old". always this attiodtude of wnting the newest things. and to be honest since
BF3 the grafics really have not improved that much that it would be truly a ubgrade woth paying money for

i hate 2042 even more due to the fact that they cut the development teams from BFV and Star wars Battlefront 2 Right as the games and updates started getting good really good.

Been playing a lot of BF1 recently, still the best "Only in Battlefield" moments in my humble opinion. So good to see a big player base still even here in Australia.
I have been playing this game since it came out religiously and I have to say, it never ceased to amaze me. Even after a thousand hours, many rages, hardships new friendships and experiences, it'll always have a special place in my heart

Yeah it’s genuinely good. And for the most part always has been. It baffled me how people actually complained about the quality of this game, with the exception being the launch issues.

@@El_Cypriot I’ve had my fun on 2042, but not until a year or so after it came out, which is when I bought it. And even then it still pales in comparison quality wise and atmospherically. 1 and V were superior. Hopefully we can get another game like this again.

@@SK1BBEthe games cosmetics thrived at the end of its life cycle. Since the backlash from the launch caused them to just straight up delete 70% of the cosmetics from launch
Felt too different from previous entries for me. Gunplay and movement just felt off.
@@BenSturk I played some bf4 i kinda liked it and whent all in on bf1. 47day playtime 2000/2000 achivements. But my friends didt like bf1 so ended up playing solo after just a few weeks and grinded that game for like 2 years. Awesome game, the gfx still beats 2042 by far! The maps felt alive, 2042 felt like they forgot to give the maps love or any fine details...

Game still sucks
The respect comes back because people hope (rightfully so) to see the new iteration being an even better game (due to newer engine / mechanics) but because of the disappointing release of BF 2042 obviously people will have abit more respect for the previous title. Even though back then BF 5 was worse than BF 1.
BFV is still a disappointing game. Way worse than BF1, when it should have been an upgrade to BF1. They wanted to show "diversity" and cod-like skins in an historical setting. Something that we BF players really disliked, of course.

I quit playing it a while ago because of the abundant amount of cheaters in every lobby. Is it still that bad or have the cheaters calmed down a little? Would like to hop back in again!

I said the same about BF1. More could have been done and the games issues could have been fixed.
Wish they'd give us all the cut content an broken promises, give us the normandy map. Draggin our teammates to cover, the dismemberment, the extra vehicles and more call ins, the game imho is still a dear friend to me, i play daily everyday with my clan the comedians, we have a channel, snd we are some tank busting joking adult having fun group. Absolutley still love this game💯💯❤❤
I appreciate you so much. You actually take a step back and look at the game from a different perspective, the same way I used to look at battlefield back in the day watching buildings, explosions and vehicles around me moving around. It's like a movie and that's one of the many ways to appreciate these games. Unfortunately, The new battlefields haven't hit this quite as well but still has it's strong points.
I will say bf has always felt way more immersive when it comes down to the overall experience in game. Sometimes it feels like I’m playing in a movie but I get to make my choices. Watching all the tanks and planes screaming by and explosions with players charging poi’s is some of the most intense gameplay you will experience, especially when you wear a headset.
So happy to see BFV content, I'm still playing it now!, it's the most immersive game I've played, I can play it hours on end, always happy to see BFV content :)
Battlefield V had so much potential. If the atmosphere was more gritty and dark, similar to Battlefield 1, had an Eastern Front, and a better launch I genuinely think it would've been contender for the best Battlefield of all time. Such a shame that it launched in a poor state and that it got hate-trained.
Such a shame no Eastern Front. Imagine what a Stalingrad winter map could be like on this game, PPSh in hand.

Super hyped to see what they do with world war 2 in the next few years, though, if they revisit and try to do something more akin to how battlefield 1 changed the game, i'd be so hyped. I know World War 2 games are a super oversatured genre, but we are seriously lacking in amazing modern ww2 shooters that aren't hardcore, and I honestly wouldn't *personally* mind if they went right back to the war for the next game LOL
@@Honey_Katz that's true about Devastation. When I used to play that map in the good old launch days, I always imagined a Stalingrad map coming in 1-2 years, with like double the scale of Devastation. Then Panzerstorm came out and all I could think about was Kursk someday.
That time never came, but at least I could play Enlisted & War Thunder and kinda get that experience.
they failed miserably at launch and doubled down on the whole female soldiers dont like it dont buy it mentality, gave us dripfeed content idk this game sucked hard for me and all my bf friends we jsut went back to bf1
@siegfriedgottz698 The female soldiers weren't abysmal, and I feel like the community overreacted a bit. Although I feel like diversity closer to how Battlefield 1 approached it would've been a better way to recognize the discrimination still ongoing at the time.
I don't know about anyone else, but can I just say, Jack laughing has got to be one of the best things about these types of videos. You just know that he's genuinely having fun and it makes the videos just so much more enjoyable to watch. Just have fun with video games people, you'll have longer lives 👍

Play on community servers as opposed to official ones. Nearly no cheaters because they will get booted out by admin.

People dogged on V but I have a lot of memories with it. Such a fun game. Especially running around in that town at the bottom of the hill with a shotgun on TDM lol.
Also, one time I chucked a grenade up the ladder into the bell tower and shot it. Took out the camper lol

Hey Jack, one of these days you should give BFV mods a chance. There's one mod on Nexus that turns the Axis into the Galactic Empire (no Rebels yet sadly) and another that switches the lighting of a bunch of maps, including adding the night lighting from The Last Tiger campaign to Devastation. Cinematic is an understatement with that lighting.
Jack just casually watching his team mates in the tank get absolutely obliterated is pure comedy.
Been back on BFV with my dad, two brothers and mates. Sometimes getting enough for two full squads, what an experience this game still is.
Man this was such a good game before all the hackers and cheaters came ruining it and dice just left it to die

They were juggling between a Warzone clone, an APEX reskin jammed into a BF game, an extraction shooter, and finally a BF game proper.
2042 was stuck in decision-making hell throughout 2020. No clear vision.

I play this game literally every single day of my life, it’s legendary, the graphics to the cinematic gameplay.
You should make some videos on Bad Company 2 to give it some praise before EA shuts the servers down in December. My personal favorite Battlefield and just as “cinematic” as BF5, if not more imo.

what makes bf5 my favorite as a person who loves watching ww2 documentary is to experiance machines who were used that time like the tiger tank, stuka bomber, spitfire,sherman,v1 rocket and more... adding to that the graphics, sounds and atmosphere this game provides
i still stand on the hill that this is one of the top 3 BF games made and suffered from horrendous marketing and lack of content / pursuit of content
Friends, we can always hope that one day they'll re-release a game like BF1, or BFV. World of Warcraft did it, all the way up to WotLK! I know it's not exactly the same.. FPS compared to an MMO.

Mercury was probably my favorite post-launch map, impressive visuals a generally fun layout gameplay-wise. Nothing against the Pacific maps, those were fun too, but I really liked this one
BF5 and BF1 are, in my option, the best FPS games made so far.

Watching this made me realise that the perfect BF formula is open sandbox maps with small scale detail and a variety of weapon and class options for DIY role playing.

BF 5 also had a bad launch, but they fixed it over time. 2042 on the other hand is still as crap as it was in beta.

It’s the realism of the maps for me. This game and BF1 just do such a good job of immersing you into the setting.
My favorite battlefield. This one really surprised me at launch and slowly overtook my love for battlefield 3. Sucks that it’s so hard to find people to play it still on console.

I really wish that this was still being supported by DICE. Literally everything about it, is better than 2042. Graphics, atmosphere, guns, vehicles, gameplay, maps, and ofcourse, no specialists (well, except for elites...)

The best thing about this game (not mentioning other crazy good mechanics) was a teamplay. It was the best in series since BF2. And the attrition system was a part of it. You really had to work with your team to succeed, especially in breakthrough (which was also much more immersive than it is now in bf2042.
I’ve recently downloaded it and played on the PC for the first time on my first build and it’s absolutely mind blowing
