This song is actually a HUGE part of my testimony. I was a preemie & therefore born with a rare incurable bowel disorder. In 1995, at the age of 26, my poor little body was losing its battle. I was in a Columbus Ohio hospital going on my 5th month in. Then, as if things weren't bad enough, they found "something" in my blood. Turns out it was a staff infection but they THOUGHT I may also have lukemia or AIDS (I'm also a rape survivor from 1988). I remember laying in my hospital bed waiting for my bone marrow test & this video played on the TV. And I thought, "wow! That is SO right on" and I got down on the floor on bended knees & I promised God, with tears streaming down my gaunt face that if He got me out of "this life sucking hell hole in one piece" that I would spend my life making the world a better place for the "least of these". And ya know what's weird? The next day I gained a pound. The next week a couple more and after 2 surgeries in 4 months, I got to go home And to this day I'm still fulfilling that promise

Michael Jackson was a HUGE STAR. Probably the BIGGEST. Yet, saw those who didn't have the life or wealth he had. He could have donated quietly and kept the light of fame on himself 24/7. But he didn't. Brought attention to issues of the poverty and the endangerment of the Planet. How many mocked him. Is what's happening with Covid 19, the wake up call that has been long overdue?? What next for the Human Race?? Is there a top 5 ot top 10 of issues the western world has chosen to ignore. The unscrupulous wealthy/powerful who cut corners to make it big. I'm sure their wealth will buy them a cure and the answer to everything. And yes, maybe the Human Race needs a wake up call. Planet Earth can live without human life. The human race, can't live without the Planet. I don't recall any commercials promoting life on others Planets or in another Galaxy. Or, maybe I missed them all, switching between channels to avoid the commercials. Oops.

I think I speak for everyone saying that no matter what time or decade, this song will truly stand the test of time. Sure, the imagery in the video is a bit dated, but the message is truly Timeless:

Are you sure the images are a bit dated? Still present on planet Earth: wars, terrorist bombings, assassinations, famine, rapes, murders, poverty, riots, protests (more or less violent because of politicians corruption), pollution, deforestation, overfishing...shall I continue? They are not dated (along with those from Earth song) and even worse it doesn't seem like this will change too soon, if ever, so the imagery along with the message are sadly both timeless.

This song is actually a HUGE part of my testimony.
I was a preemie & therefore born with a rare incurable bowel disorder. In 1995, at the age of 26, my poor little body was losing its battle. I was in a Columbus Ohio hospital going on my 5th month in.
Then, as if things weren't bad enough, they found "something" in my blood. Turns out it was a staff infection but they THOUGHT I may also have lukemia or AIDS (I'm also a rape survivor from 1988).
I remember laying in my hospital bed waiting for my bone marrow test & this video played on the TV.
And I thought, "wow! That is SO right on" and I got down on the floor on bended knees & I promised God, with tears streaming down my gaunt face that if He got me out of "this life sucking hell hole in one piece" that I would spend my life making the world a better place for the "least of these".
And ya know what's weird? The next day I gained a pound. The next week a couple more and after 2 surgeries in 4 months, I got to go home
And to this day I'm still fulfilling that promise

Out of his many awesome hits, "Man In The Mirror" is Michael Jackson's greatest song. The lyrics (by Glen Ballard and Siedah Garrett) are just as relevant today as they were in 1988. Michael's and the gospel choir's vocals are passionate and powerful, and the music is so soulful. A true masterpiece.
