I learned about wearing gloves early in my riding experience. I was on 485 around charlotte and a car bounced a stone. It came up and hit my left hand right on the knuckle protection. It stung but no other damage. Wear gloves riding always!
Great video and excellent information!
Been sold on Revit gloves for along time. Have Sand 1 that are from 2015 and still fine and a pair of Sand 2 and just ordered the Sand 4. I do not go cheap on gloves
Great info.
Agree, I always wear some type of glove. Thanks for the videos!
I didn't know you are a musician! How cool...I do not ride without gloves. Great video! ATGATT is my motto! I wear leather gloves with knuckle protection no matter how hot it is out!! Booger hooks, lol
I was a"pro" for about 7 years as a young man. Crazy huh.
I hope to see y'all on a FL Visit for y'all. God bless.
Another great video. As for your shirt: first time we ever saw you freeze on camera.
😂😂😂
Just as I'm editing my latest video where I took an impromptu ride without gloves on.😬 Great information Coach! 👍😎
LOL. 😂
Hey Coach, thank you for this. You’ve made me take a look at my gloves. I honestly thought they were safe and that I bought the right thing. It turns out they don’t even have a CE rating. Now, I am not about to take chances with my hands, so I’ve been looking at the biggest motorcycle gear retailer, in the UK. When I filter the search for gloves to a CE2 rating, there are only two pairs that they sell which have the highest rating. As their head office is in my town I am going to pay them a visit and ask some questions. To be fair, one of the models they sell which is CE2 rated is being sold at a reasonable price £44 (about $50) but there should be a guide in store so I’m going to have a look. They are a good company so I’m pretty sure they will look at the issue without taking offence.
CE2's are hard to find. They're not significantly more expensive. My CE2's are more cumbersome. I am looking at a new set of A-Stars that are CE1. Just looking at the A-Stars I would say it is due to the cuff length. Let me know what you end up getting. I am very interested.
Great information. Thanks for making this video..
I appreciate ya watching and commenting. 👍👍👍👍
I have pretty small hands and it is most difficult to find gloves that fit!
Good info , I agree protection is important. Again I am a bit crazy during winter , now I have 7 pair ( 2 more ) than before and I have 3 of the 7 are ECE 1 , 2 of the 7 level 2 and 2 not rated . now I don't have to think what I am going to use. ...One think that I look for is reinforce slider.in the palm and if the little finger is attached or protected with a slider. Alain & Yellow
Great comment my friend!! How are ya doing?
Great info with some seriously good detail! I have to grab my gloves and see what I have. Maybe I'll have a good excuse to go glove shopping.
Nice!!! Get ya some Fancy Ones!!!
I remember the vids about gloves in my pro testing.
I wish they would make this type of information available at the MSF Courses.
great video mate as always
Thanks.
Great info CB THANKS
You bet..Thanks for watching.
Good morning CB3 I hope doing well! 🙏
Fantastic information. Nobody really talks about gloves and their protection.
Can attest that it seems to take forever to come to a stop if one parts company with your bike at speed. and BTW, Pillion fractures are a LOT of fun. Also, Limestone is supposed to be a softer stone/rock, Sure don't feel like it.
learned something new , thanks
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching.
Insurance likes your vid coach Bob!
True!!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Coach Vic . lol 😂. She is funny. This is a timely video as I’m shopping for a pair of gloves. Love your videos!
Very informative, thanks CB.
Thank you for the very informative video Coach look like I might be changing some gear in the near future worst thing for me with gloves is finding the right size as I go up to a XXXL and I find them uncomfortable at times the next size up is to big though, like you I think if I come off of my Spyder I am doing some thing wrong like not paying attention.
Information that I never got when I took the motorcycle safety course. Thank you for this information
Glad it was helpful! I wish they would give at least a one hour breakdown on gear. It is so important.
👍great informative video
Thanks for saving our hands
Very good information, thanks Coach Bob.
Never knew now when i get home going to look at my gloves
This is completely new information to me. Thank you so much. Now I have to evaluate all my gloves.
You are welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice looking can am gloves
Great detailed information that we can all use. Thank you so much for research! I also loved the behind the scenes clips of playing the guitar etc.
Thanks so much.
Very informative video Coach! And on a Wednesday too! Riding gloves are essential and always part of atgatt! Cheers Coach.
Very informative video
Thank you, Coach Bob, I guess I hadn’t thought as much about the gloves as I did about my jacket and boots and pants. This video is very informative and I appreciate the effort you put in. Thank you! thank you! thank you!
I value my hands.👍
I appreciate your great comment!!! Thanks for watching. 👍👍
Didn't realize there is Knuckle Protection 1 and Knuckle Protection 2...thank you!
As I was looking through everything I kept seeing an additional Roman Numeral II and found a small article on it. I really wish they would make this information more transparent and readily available for all of us.
I love my fingers
Oh boy, you got me thinking twice now about using my Joe Rocket fingerless gloves that I use on hot, humid days. But, safety first is smarter, and I've been guilty of wearing stupid 🙄🤫 Excellent informative video 😁👍👍
You always make me smile brother!!! Is it starting warm up for you guys yet?
February was mostly mild days, and March so far has been up and down. We'll get some snow today, then spring weather later in the week. Would have loved to ride down for bike week, but weather up here was too iffy.
I’m always thinking about my hands if i were to hit the ground 2:31
Thanks for the info. Always great. Going to do the front USB port tomorrow like you did. Did the rear port yesterday under the passenger back rest for the boss to charge her phone. I have a couple questions about using the front auxiliary wire.
Mine was pretty easy to find..getting the wire pulled out enough to work with it was mildly irritating...but, easy enough.
Thanks, I thought about just splitting the auxiliary wire so I can keep a plug in the front trunk. Do you think that would be ok? Pierre at CA Spyder Accessories said the split into a wire near the dash for the 2018/2019. Just not sure what that wire goes to. He was great and sent me a few pictures of the wiring harness where he got power. The rear USB charging port worked great. Got power from the rear trunk USB. Taking that mirror off scares me. lol thanks from one Coach to another
@@user-fw6id4vk1s that’s actually what I have done. I used little plug connectors to accomplish it.
@@CoachBob3 thanks for the help I used a quick connector so I can always unplug it and use the power for something else like a 12 volt plug. I found a path on the top. Ran the wires up next to fuse box out a small opening and ran it along the wiring harness and tie it down. I left a little slack in case I ever have to pull the switch out. I’m waiting on a bolt that was missing from the panel before I reinstall everything. Coach, I have a question, do you have a BaJa Ron Sway bar for your RTL? Been looking at them.
Thanks
Mike
As far as Coach Vic not being funny? Well, you just get a KH rating for that one; Knuckle Head!😂😂
TRUTH 😂
❤
Never paid attention to this on gloves 3:54
Hmmm, haha, the only part of this video I have to disagree with, is your reference to Coach Vic not being funny regarding the dummy's used for the glove testing... that was definitely funny 😄😃🤣🤣🤣👍
She cracks me up... it is never dull around here..That's for sure.
Great case study for protecting those hands! It was a pleasure hanging out with you in traffic earlier 😂
Glad ya made it home safely!!! It was great meeting you as well. Hopefully we can ride or play some music one day. 👍👍👍
Second post. ATGATT.
😎 Thanks brother.
Thank you Coach Bob. I looked at my gloves after watching this video. I knew they would not be rated as they did not have any Velcro. I went and looked and found some with CE 1 and KP. I even got a great deal! They were half off for the month.
Excellent!!!👍👍👍
I always wear gloves. Period 0:47
Going out to look at my gloves 11:59
Great video! I will be buying new gloves! What is the model number for the CanAm gloves?
Here is a link with the information on them.

Anyone know if the spyder can am rt is better more stable then the honda gold wing dct trike
I personally prefer the reverse trike format (2 wheels up front). I would ride them both if you get a chance to. I have friends that fall on both sides of this debate. Anyone else have an opinion...please share it.
@CoachBob3 i like that the honda goldwing has a front brake lever and it's fully automatic. The con that is costs way more then the can am spyder rt limited
Hello Mate I have a Spyder F3S like they say try both and you can also fit a aftermarket handbrake kit to the Spyders as I have one due to MS, why the spyder over other trikes think of riding a tricycle as a kid and going around a corner fast.
