- Mitchelle Blair, the Detroit mother who was sentenced to life in prison for murdering her children and putting their bodies in the freezer, will make a live video appearance in court today for the third phase of a child custody hearing for her surviving children.

Mistreated... Yep. This is usually the recipe. Generations of abusive parents continued on... Nobody ever gets help. Or therapy. "Everybody mind their own business" - way of living all around. Nobody checks on these kids, or confronts these parents... I too, was victim of a "angry, narcissist" mom.

The Father’s are simply sperm donors. They wanted a good time with this wicked woman.. she was willing they took. One of the sperm donors is homeless the other lives with his mom. They can’t take care of themselves they surely can’t care for children. Let these kids heal so they can have a chance to live a half way normal life! Like slaughtering your child in front of your other children, and then forcing them to help jam their dead siblings into a freezer isnt as bad or worse as them being sexually abused. She added even more trauma into their already traumatized existence. The PTSD those children must have is unimaginable.
This is definitely in my mind a DEATH PENALTY CASE.She should not be able to EVER breath a breath of air again.

I think Gabby's dad doesn't deserve to have custody at all , because he never really saw her nor Stoni. Which if you were to put a child in custody of one of their parents that were never around, that is going to cause the child to turn against that parent. For example if they gave custody to Gabby's father she is going to wonder "why do you want me now" you didn't want to come see me or talk to me when I was with a mother who abused me, she going to lash out at him. I believe the Dr. is right about Gabby needing to stay with her great aunt for stableabilty , Matthew also needs to stay with Gabby as well, only because she took care of him and helped him survive with a MONSTER MOM.

Why is there even a custody hearing? She's in jail on two life sentences, she's never getting out, and so this hearing is an absolute waste of time and money.
This custody hearing was for all three parents. For Mitchelle, its merely a formality but the hearing is mainly taking place to end the fathers' parental rights as they both showed interest in having some form of custody of the surviving children.
Father's are involved.
I'm learning so much from this guy. My granddaughter went through a very traumatic on going situation in her life at age 7. Before we knew she was going through this she became fearful of everything along with bouts of anxiety, fear, crying . Finally knowing what happened and her talking about it she is so much happier and more relaxed. She still needs counseling but her just finally talking about it has made a world of difference.
I kept mine a secret for 20’years growing up my mother would always tell me I was screwed in the head I needed help I had issues I’d always say if you only knew if you only knew little did she know I was keeping everything to myself because of how it would make them hurt not how it would make me feel !!! that didn’t matter all that mattered was I protected them from having to deal with such heart ache once I told I still felt numb to it because my brain has built a wall up to protect me from the trauma I was only 8 years old … my family’s even told me I’m selfish and only care about myself and I’m here like i suffered my whole life basically so o could protect how you’d feel but I only care about myself ?

I swear people have selective hearing.. Mitchelle said she stopped her children from going with their dad because their grandfather was a drunk and molested another one of his grandkids. The family said they blamed him doing it on his drinking and had he been sober he would not have done it. I believe the entire time those kids were visiting their dad's side of the family they were being molested and that is where they developed this behavior.
That is a very real possibility. I never thought about that angle. If you listen to Mitchelle Blair's allocution to the judge she is asked if the Steven admitted to the abuse right away or after she hit him and MB said she beat him until he admitted it so I thought the younger boy, Matthew made it up so his mother's anger would be directed at the other kids and not him and that Steven admitted it to stop the beatings. MB beat ALL of her kids, tortured them ALL so Matthew wasn't spared her abuse. It would make sense for him to lie to gain his mother's affection vs. her abuse. So sad all around, my heart aches for the kids.
Research shows that children that end up sexually abusing other children have almost always been sexually abused themselves.
Has anyone ever thought that withdrawing her children from seeing their father's, withdrawing them from school etc. Was due to the fact that SHE was molesting and raping her own children? She eventually totally isolated those kids after CPS was notified the first time there were signs of physical abuse. She physically abused them horrifically to make them keep their mouths shut and I suspect that Both deceased children may have been threatening to tell the truth about her sexual abuse. The ME noted burns on the Sons genitals as well the daughter had scolding hot water poured all over her body. Did it occur to anyone that she was washing evidence of sexual abuse before subsequently murdering both children?

That’s entirely possible. I also think that maybe… which… hear me out bc saying it, it’s hard to articulate but I’ve become aware of things like this in my life. For example with my son his dad isn’t in his life and so I didn’t know how to go about parenting him alone, I didn’t want to be overly hard on him, overly soft etc… well I found myself trying to over correct in a certain area to avoid something I was worried about and instead I sort of created the problem bc I was fixated on it. It’s like a self fulfilling prophecy.
I kind of think this is what happened with Mitchelle. She has said in numerous interviews that she has told them the worst thing you can do to someone is rape them, or to claim rape on someone when they haven’t raped you. I think she might have brought it up to them so much, especially when she got drunk, I think they probably seen things they shouldn’t have at young ages, heard things, both on the tv and probably in real life. I can bet between their mother with her boyfriends or random men and visiting their dad they seen inappropriate things and kids are so curious. And if you have an overload of a certain stimuli and you are curious about it but you know you can’t ask your mom about it, you will find another way.
And this is IF it happened. I’m still not convinced it happened. Listening to this and how Gabby was a mother figure it sounds like she wouldn’t have let them put pee, or semen in his eyes. Or menstrual blood in his mouth.. that sounds very unlikely. When she was saying all that in the court room, she had said it in the interrogation and I knew she was lying

My kids father lives 5 miles from them, he never sees them unless he is forced to. He doesn't accept our son because he's autistic and he never Will. But fo I hope my kids because of their dad's BS and A BAD father? No!
Exactly!!! Alexander Dorsey (The surviving daughter's dad) admitted to being fully aware that those kids were being beaten by this witch. The kid's aunt pointed out welts and bruises on them to that punk and they did nothing. That entire family should never be allowed to be around that poor girl who is now an adult. I hope she's ok. I was glad to hear that despite of what she went through that she has a high IQ. I Pray that her and her brother are currently living a decent life because they deserve at least that. I have 2 kids who are young adults and their dad was never in their lives consistently. My daughter is 20 and is currently pregnant with her 1st child. She suffered from anxiety and depression throughout her childhood and still struggles tp this day. My son is 19 and is in college. Both of them needed their dad and he was nowhere to be found but they're doing ok. I thank God for that.
Even if she suffered badly as a kid apparently no one killed her so... I dont know about this case but I feel sick.
Funny how the deadbeat dads were never there for their kids when they were alive but now here they are front and center. I guess they want to look good for their lawsuit.

I have a few questions about this! First if she thought any of what her youngest child was true why not just turn them over to child services? What if she finds out that the boy lied because kids lie from time to time? Where was she when all of this going on? What was she doing when all of this was going on? She sure as hell wasn't home being a mother & you would think that with 2 less ppl in her house she would clean because that place looks like it hadn't been clean since Jesus was baby. Filthy mouth, home, attitude & heart. No remorse at all! Oh & how did her kids go unnoticed so long?
Kids lie from time to time. Kids do not claim that their older sister straddled their body with her own body, removed her sanitary pad, and forced him to ingest her menstrual blood as she squeezed the bloody pad into his mouth. Author Stephen King , in his prime, couldn't have dreamed up that horror story. Anyway-- I find it ironic that Ms. Blair committed double homicide to not only avenge previous wrongs, but to protect her son from potential , future heinous crimes being committed against him..... Except now, the poor little boy , age 8, has NO parent to protect him from bullies, gang recruitment, or anything else. No mother. Never a father. I've learned, the hard way, that you cannot reproduce innocent human life with just any Tom, Dick, or Harry that you are temporarily attracted to. Because even if YOU are the most faithful, pristine, stellar parent possible, if something happens to you, they instantly become orphaned. It's no different than that child losing both parents in a sudden, fatal accident one day. The results are the same. For instance: I chose, planned, used fertility drugs, to conceive a child with a VERY irresponsible, reckless, immoral man who was ( I later discovered, while I was pregnant) also strung out on weed, crack, and heroin. But she had me, a hard working, gainfully employed mother who was simultaneously furthering her college education ( to become an R.N.), which would be completed by the time my child turned five years old, so my baby would be JUST fine-- right? WRONG . In fact, I have never been more wrong about anything in my entire life. Who knew that I would become chronically, critically ill, while only in my early 30's? I'm extremely sick now, and were it not for my OWN parents, my very precious daughter would literally be on the street. Ladies? Please : Think twice, three , five hundred times before you decide you want to have a "baby" with Joe Blow from Kokomo. Because, no matter what "Joe" does, those "babies" turn into thinking, talking, opinionated, interactive PEOPLE whose psyches are severely affected by both of their parents' actions- absentee or present.
Eloquently stated! From top to bottom. People are doing the most unthinkable things to children these days. All of mine are deceased & I would give anything to have them back but that's not how God intended it for it to be. However, when you can get to the point of hating your children & don't care it's time to give them up to someone that won't. I've tried adopting from prison women but no response. I tried an agency but I can't go that route without having a money tree.
Mitchelle Blair is a horrible person who has ruined the lives of her children the two she killed and the two that's still here. Can you imagine the mental anguish from having to help your mom store your murdered siblings in the freezer & from the fear of it being them next if they say or do the wrong thing? I hope they're giving her the business in prison.

hugh hrobowski It takes a court hearing and a judge’s order to terminate parental rights. Without it, even though she’s serving a life sentence and the fathers are deadbeat bums, they’d still be entitled to a say in certain aspects of the surviving children’s lives. Termination of parental rights is no small thing and is usually only granted in extreme situations. This case is a perfect example.
What she gonna do with custody from prison??? She has to be mental to even think she has a chance. After brutally harming her on children, this is so sad...💔😭

If Gabby was so PROTECTIVE how the hell did all those things happen to Mathew for all those years and why didn't she tell the authorities after her siblings were murdered right before her eyes, considering the aunt was a POLICE OFFICER. Something does not sound right here
+ms blue I'm "implying" that there was something "not right" about that whole household and the things that were going on in it. Not necessarily blaming Gabby for it, but how did all of this sexual abuse, for this long go unnoticed by two other/older people in the home (mother and older sister). And only God knows why Stoni would admit to hating her other siblings when her brother is lying on ice in the freezer after being murdered by their mom. There is more to it than meets the eye and the WHOLE truth will come out later.
+ms blue Yeah, there is SO much to this. Matthew did tell the counselors that, "Something happened to me, and my mother, she killed them". So I supposed he was referring to the molestation, and her testimony (video) to the judge did sound true to me. Yes, she is definitely an abusive BEAST (she literally abused them all) and they probably never felt loved by her, leading them to feel cold/heartless toward each other. Yes, she will most definitely get her justice in prison!

There's no doubt in my mind seeing the subsequent interview of Mitchelle, who blamed her own mother for not acting on her being abused, was living out and acting out a fantasy where her mother did "protect" her by killing the abuser. The abuser in that house was Mitchelle, and Gaby was just as abused and terrified

For sure that's a possibility. If you have 1 family member who is molesting, etc. then it usually occur to many members of the family. IF these kids were doing all this sexual stuff, then it had to come from someone or more than one someone.

7 years ago, so Matthew is now 15. I'm glad he stayed with his big sister at his aunts. Although big sister probably went to college soon.
Have to say, I always find it strange, how social services can make a decision, only having sessions 1 or 2 or 3 times of only 2 hours. But I think main thing was, Matthew staying with Gabrielle.
Those 2 fathers also lost a child. In the freezer. If they could have known, could have prevented it, could have predicted it, they would have...

Also saw the police interview of Mitchelle. I praise her honesty. Telling everything. Being honest about what she did.

@@Sperm_monkey It is just such a crazy story. I also still want to know, was it all in Mitchelle's mind? From her own childhood? I do praise Mitchelle for admitting it. Pleading guilty. And accepting life in prison. She immediately said, I deserve life and if there was a death penalty in Detroit, she would have taken it. For protecting her youngest. So sad this story. Hope Matthew and Gabriella are doing well. And am kinda wondering as well, how Mitchelle is doing in prison? Still standing behind her choices? Was it real or was it just in her mind?
I will say where was the father s family members and their friends and the true value for the children.
Those kids need to be given to families completely separate from their biological family members. I hope they had nothing to do with their blood relatives after all this

because0011 Despite her crimes and sentence, without terminating her parental rights she would still have had a legal right to have her wishes regarding certain aspects of Gabrielle and Steven’s lives taken into consideration, things such as education, religious instruction, contact with them, etc. I know it seems logical to prevent that given what she did, but it still had to be done through the Court and hence these hearings. I really like the attorney representing Gabrielle and Matthew - she was very passionate in her arguments on their behalf and exactly what they needed.
Thank goodness this process was streamed live - so much of what she did to ALL the children over the years did not come up during the pleading and sentencing phases and concerned the murders of Stoni and Steven only. It’s shocking to me to read the comments of so many people defending and justifying what this monster did to them for YEARS. It’s a disgrace that anyone would empathize with this child torturer and killer. What she did to them goes so far beyond the murders - the abuse they suffered for so long is horrendous and if she hadn’t been arrested she might have ended up killing ALL of them, accidentally or otherwise. Anyone who believes the murders were justifiable needs to watch these hearings and then see how they feel about her. And of course it goes without saying that if a father had committed these crimes against his children they’d want him lynched on the courthouse steps. Why so many people believe she deserves pity and understanding is beyond me.

These hearings are not solely focused on the mothers parental rights. The hearings are addressing whether or not to terminate the parental rights of the fathers.

This in some ways reminds me of the Hart Family Murders. Those two woman were just a crazy as this woman.
This case is horrific. The mum 100% needed to loose parentsl rights. The fathers rights shouldn't have needed deciding so soon. The kids needed to settle with the Aunt and have a stable home with lots of therapy. Then reasses. I really hope however many years on now, both kids are healing.

I have never been to a mentally ill persons house that was clean unless it was a group home. people's house and surroundings matches their minds stay away from people with dirty cluttered houses
No honey you can have a clean house and still be a nut case or mental problems and she made those children clean that house think about it.

She has no fault so asking why didn't she tell on her mom is an asinine question! Of course she was bullying abusing and probably torturing them on top of alienating their fathers! But that's not a defense for the fathers lack of involvement! This is on the adults including DCFS failing them! There are people in this planet that can't have kids for whatever reason! This lady was able to have kids God knows why!? She claims that she suffered similarly as a child! I doubt it was as bad!? If she is even saying the truth! She is still alive! She possibly never went for therapy to take care of her deep rooted anger issues! She was able to make a choice and chose to have kids! She beat, tortured and killed Stephen & Stoni! She beat & tortured Matthew and Gabi! I don't care what angered this lady prior to her horrendous acts.. nothing she says is justifiable! robin smith Frightening isn't it. The ONLY reason she was able to stay under the radar for so long is due to the extreme isolation. They didn't go to school, didn't play outside, didn't have friends & were cut off from the extended family completely 2 yrs prior. There was a family that did this in my city, Kansas City, & no one figured out the youngest son had been dead in the closet for almost 2 yrs.
I note there was no mention of sexual abuse. All 4 of these children were abused and neglected throughout life

As a social worker, I think all home schooled children should have quarterly check-ins by social workers. Unannounced check-ins . Because way too many abusers pull their kids from school to keep the abuse hidden.

She killed those poor kids over a period of time with beatings and torture that came from a place of hatred and rage towards the respective “fathers.” Their little bodies couldn’t handle it anymore and finally gave out on the days she beat and tortured them to the point of death. There never was any abuse by anyone other than Blair.
Blair had to come up with a reason for murdering those children, and she chose the sexual abuse story. What she did to them over time and the days they died is horrific. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything so depraved, especially at the hands of a “mother.”

I can't help think that their biological mother was not making up every single thing. She didn't wake up one morning and say to herself I'm going to kill my children over a months time, slowly and put their bodies in a freezer for YEEAARRSsss! This whole event was like a freaky snowball avalanche!
You have to see the oldest daughter talk. I think the mom forced this whole thing on them. They never went to school where does a 6/7/8yr old learn this behavior? The youngest was 6 and is body was full of scars. This is the son she claims to love so much. She beat them until they admitted doing something. That's not a good confession. The oldest days it never happened. So you have an impressionable 6 yr old scared to death of his mom who didn't say anything happened to him UNTIL she threatened to hurt him. She killed her son accidentally and once she got away with that she saw she could kill her daughter. She also threatened to kill her oldest daughter. Those kids watched their brother and sister be murdered. She beat them to death over 2 weeks! Yes 2 weeks she beat them and starved them. And the daughter was still breathing when she put her in the freezer, barely but she was still breathing. Stop trying to excuse what she did. Even if those kids did that, the learned it from her and they were both under 13. They are kids that needed help because all the knew was pain their entire life. She burned her sons penis with hot water until the skin came off. Smh... this woman is sick and since being in prison she has over 45 different charges grim assaulting Prisoners and offices with her fist, urine, and feces. She also had threatened to kill people in jail. She is nuts!!
