Is there a way of setting up the heater to not turn on when I use remote start? Because if I use the remote control the car use a lot of power to set the inside temperature cool while the engine is not yet hot.

When you use the remote start function to turn your car on or off, this will automatically do the same for your air conditioner and heating wire as long as the ambient temperature in your car is low. For added convenience and comfort, certain models with the Honda remote start feature will have their climate control automatically activated to 72 degrees.

@@wildeeasttownehonda4777 thank you so much for your reply and time. I think I will just be using the remote starter on much colder days because of the gas consumption. The Canadian winter hit harder in January and February. Normally the heater is effective when the engine is hot and that’s not right at the start up. So there’s no need of the heater and the fan blowing off at maximum when the engine is still cold.
