Nope, you dont die to single trap hit. You have to eat 3-4 ticks to die. But yes, this is glass cannon, you cant tank damage from guards at all. I died this week once only when my latency skyrocketed for 2-3 seconds in a room, so i couldnt do anything with this. You can look at poe.ninja, alot of people if not the most of them running glass cannon 0 hp builds, but you need to have good damage and be familiar/understand sanctum well (guard position, best spots to not get dmg, where to place your mines etc). Without damage and experience in sanctum you will die alot with 0 hp build, guaranteed. I would suggest you start with decent hp pool first, learn sanctum, and make whatever changes after if you really need them. Because you dont wanna brick your runs to oneshots.
@@gal2253 I haven't tried pathfinder, i tend to play only assassin and adapt builds to it, because you have high crit chance from the leaguestart from ascendancy alone. This also free's helmet slot for me, i dont have to go sandstorm visage like best in slot option. Also the covenant body armour gives you best damage possible, most pathfinders run it.

Ahh 1 thing more... how this new automaton skill work? I mean I see on the Lycia fight you prestack mines and they not detonate while you automaton is "on"???
@@gal2253 Hexblast mines do not detonate if there are no nearby enemies in range. So you can preload all your mines and walk into Lycia to trigger the fight. You can test this yourself in the campaign without risk. Lycia doesnt count as a target until you walk to her.

For perma-sustain i use: Gruthkul's pelt (max hp roll), southbound gloves (max hp roll), and the most important are the boots: www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Necropolis/E5XQWdZs5 You have to put cheapest eater's ichor's to roll "7% increased Life Regeneration rate" on the boots before animating. rest of the items: Dying Breath (Kingmaker as an option, its cheap now), and Leer Cast with max hp roll or i use helmet with Nearby Enemies have -9% to Cold Resistance. Also you need 4-link for using it, meat shield is very important.
Look at my gear, i'd say its decent. I just dont like mapping. I farmed my items all in sanctum, i didnt drop a single scripture or mirrror, no huge lucky drops at all. Also you dont have to think too much, waste time buying scarabs/juicing/rolling maps or looking into farming strategies which decays in profit with time or get nerfed by ggg. You just insta buy tomes and hit it, very simple very nice, not wasting time. It may be boring for people to run only sanctums, but when i think that i have to buy all scarabs, look for profitable strategies, adapt to the game - i say fuck all this, im good as it is.
I started with icicle mine 4th league in a row. After campaign i go heist for hour-2-3 until i can buy my cheap few c uniques. Then i go into sanctum. So until this league it was icicle mine all along. But this time was different. I missed that ggg moved annihilating light to uber drops, so i was waiting for this staff to appear on the trade for whole day 1, and only at the end of day 1 there were one with shitty elem res rolls and 15 div cost. This staff was best in slot for icicle mine, and i decided to commit/try hexblast instead. And this is the result. Guess now i have to find a new starter for the next league and do some tests... Or maybe farm all the gear for hexblast day 1 mapping and go into sanctum day 2.
Gear is expensive atm, i farmed all the items playing sanctum only since day 1. Actually you dont need all this fancy stuff to crash sanctum. Also the part of the skilltree with movespeed tattoos is my preference, you dont need this also. My build is full glass cannon, but i never get hit anyways, so i dont need defences/life.

If i change my trickster to assassin Will It be better for sanctum? Also what animate Guardian do for us as hexblast Miner?
I dont know about trickster, can't compare. I use free perma-haste aura with animate guardian.
