Hon. means Honorable. It is a salutation to formally address elected federal and state government officials and judges here in the US. Mass. is short for the State of Massachusetts where he was a senator. The Continental Mark III is a 1958 model. Very nice model and video content!
BEAUTIFUL!! My late Grandmother had a 1959 4 door Lincoln Continental Mark IV in triple champagne gold and I was and STILL AM CRAZY about it as a child! "Hon" is also a abbreviation for the word "Honorable". I wish wish WISH Sun Star would make a 1959 model!!! I though you would have to put the entire model together from scratch but it's great that it came completely assembled.
These Sun Star models are getting better and better. I think Sergio Goldvarg, who is a master in 1/43 American cars, works as a consultant for Sun Star now. Maybe that has an impact on the quality. The Goldvarg 1/43 models are amazing.
The car is 1958, actually you can open the glovebox, take off the rear fender and move the wipers. Sunstar platinum has quality control issues, so if you get the model flawless that's mean you're lucky.
I have this model and four other sunstar models I stopped because I got tired of the poor quality in so many ways this one is locking it enclosed case where it cannot get Dusty
JFK is not for the collection of me. I have a hard top of mark III, a Presidential black model. There is the good fifties look, and there is the sense of quality that is Hi class and likes it very much. Sunstar does good work!!!.

I was born in 1960, this is what cars looked like back then, I especially remember fins though, the bigger they were the better the car of-course! 🤗
