Love the horses. Haven’t been horseback riding in years. That old ranch house looks really cool. You sure have some amazing weather. We had pretty good temps until Christmas Day. It turned cold with rain and then we had snow twice this week 🙄. We need the moisture, but I can do without the cold. We’ll camp anyway, but won’t be doing any hiking in these temps lol. Definitely a nice benefit to living in the south. Thanks for sharing your final hike of 2023. Looking forward to all your 2024 hikes with Jackie Boy. Happy New Year!

Sophie and I hiked Wilderness Trail and then to Ice Cream Hill Trail several months ago. I loved how isolated it felt out there. We didn't get enough footage with our first time our to bother with a video, but Ice Cream Hill...that was actually one of THE most challenging trails we have ever been on. The declines are VERY dangerous with crushed limestone and, worse, the powdered limestone beneath it. You can be standing completely still and your feet will start to move, sliding you down!!!

I think people that love the seclusion love it the most that is what makes it so peaceful. But the beauty of the place has gone Unnoticed by the Majority. I think that is what makes it so great for us.

We went Camping in the hike in area we did not see anyone the whole time we were there. Such an amazing camping trip.😊
It is a underrated park. The only people I saw were there people on the horses
