What a blessing to be able to stay at home and enjoy your home. If I had been a full time homemaker in my youth I would have done the same kind of organizing things that you are. As a retiree I am finally getting to devote as much time as I like to my home.
    Wonderful Job Dear!

Did she say she keeps rice in the freezer to prevent it from drying out??
It is already dried out. It is rice.

I totally have the same issue with my hubby! The other day he went to the store by himself and came back with a gigantic container of sauerkraut (there's no way he'll finish it before it expires), a jumbo bag of cheetos, and candies.

Good idea with freezing the mugs, and having them ready. I also have extra refrigerator and a freezer. Good points to keep ice packs. If family or friends visit, and the unexpected it is good to have something to offer. Thanks for sharing.

@claireheartsshopping A mudroom is what we call the small room or hallway where the back door to the house is located. Mine is connected to my garage. It's where we store our coats and shoes and basically all of our accessories we would need before leaving the house (keys, hats, purse, wallet, etc). I think it's called a mudroom because you take off your outside shoes there (which may or may not be muddy) and change into your house shoes or slippers. At least, that's how it works in my house

I love how she talks about expiration dates!! I totally agree with her about that. People can be so anal about exp dates and all that and it's really not gonna kill you, esp if you adapt your stomach to it! Most processed food lasts QUITE a while! The foods that you really need to worry about are fresh produce, meats (if in the fridge) and dairy products which can grow mold. And even those, you can always tell if they are bad by the smells, and textures. :)

@wahini101 The cut up limes and lemons stay good in a ziplock in the crisper for 4 days or so. I prefer the real deal because I just like seeing the citrus in my cup or glass. And I like the way it seems to make fizzy water extra fizzy. Red root beer sounds delicious!

My hubby also will purchase frozen foods. I now make the foods he likes; mac & cheese, fried foods, goodies. I don't make them often but a few times a month won't hurt him. I say let him eat those fatty foods, as long as it is not taking over his diet.

Thanks for the tip about storing the rice in the fridge...when I think mine is a bit past the date I pour it in a cloth bag for a microwave boo boo pack. Also I am sure your mudroom fridge is good for melons etc., in the summer!

thanks for sharing! every time i see kozy shack tapioca, i always wonder if it's any good! now i'll have to try it! looking forward to other videos about clean eating. will check your channels.
also...was at the container store and they showed me the fridge bins....which i thought would be great for putting meat in the shallow bins (so they don't accidentally leak out of the package (that happened once and it was an awful mess) guess i'm paranoid about it. I love olives too!

@organizedlikejenThe red root beer is called Creamy Red Birch Beer and it's from a company called Boylans. It's made from cane sugar so there's no fructose gluctose schmoctose grossness in it. LOL...It comes in a vintage bottle too which is neat for guests. Tastes like cherry flavoured root beer. Highly recommended. It won't let me put a website here so google -> boylanbottling.
