You are spot on. People are "investing" tons of money into games that don't have a fun and compelling gameplay loop. There's no point in owning NFTs in a game that isn't fun and doesn't attract actual players and not just people looking to make a quick $$.
I wholeheartedly agree, 95% of games out there right now are just using gaming as a "mask" to sell their very expensive NFTs, If you think about real games, at the most a game would be $120 for a deluxe edition, but it comes with a whole bunch of physical merch and exclusive skins, and mind you, they sell you these games when there actually is a working product. Fkin crypto games sell their NFTs and many dont even have an alpha gameplay, and then the roadmap shows that the game is months away from its beta release. These games out there selling their $200-$300 buy in NFTs that are REQUIRED to play their game are definitely not thinking about the game at all. They care only about the money.
I've been trying to alert people to this problem as well. Money doesn't come from nothing. Not everybody can come out with a profit. That means someone has to have lost money Awesome video mate! You should make a video discussing how play to earn pvp could be different
You are right on the money with this video. My brother and I found Heroes & Empires watching your first video about the game. Actually in the WaifuDao clan. Fun game but the economy has been all over the place. Great honest video. 😀👍
Great video! Should be a must watch for anyone entering this space. I guess a lot of the Teams behind the new p2e games underestimate the complexity of creating an economy that works with this model. We are basically in an try and error Phase and my guess is 90% of the early Games won't make it past that stage.
I'm learning about NTFs! such a nice video as always! I found Rave Bunnies to have huge potential. They have growing partnerships with DJs and music producers. Any thoughts?
totally agreed, I think it's important to see some of the things we need to beware of and not always about the hype. I just think and hope that Illuvium is different, the devs take their time and do not really focus on the $
Great analysis, thank you! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
This is exactly what i've told people to be careful of! People don't realize that when a game such as sandbox, where land costs 17k usd, this pushes out many people who want to get involve to have fun, with not just playing the game but buy land, get involved in the market place but when you push people into spending money the game slowly dies and pushes out the people who want to play for fun.
This is exactly right. All Thetan has for it (besides the gameplay which I enjoy) is that the assets don’t last forever so you eventually need to put back in!
you are right about everything volkin, good video I think this needed to be talked about. That being said the future and possibilities is huge and one day when developers, like riot or rockstar games, start making blockchain games NOT for crypto heads but gamers. This is when the industry will truly and quickly grow.
I agree that games should be you pay to enjoy but the problem with these games is the entry price. Traditional games are abt $60 but these games are asking for 100's. At that price we are outside the realm of fun into the realm of investing and as such returns are expected. Also i blame the devs as they like to shill profit in their marketing also for many of the not fun ones
totaly agree with u i been noticing that too best time to join a game is most likely on the private sales and whitelist and so on that the safest way to make money if the devs dont end up ruging everything and if the game blow up even more holding the token from day 1 might pay off more than playing the game if the token is limited but if unlimited will keep going down no mather what the devs do
Dude yes thank you! I’ve been trying to get into and try out some of these games and the entry price is beyond what I can afford for the time I would invest. I’ve been real pissed about this the past month or so and I’m glad you’re shedding some light on it!
TCG world will be the metaverse to be in. 4k graphics, 800sq kilometre land mass, Get in early, its exploding at the moment. It will be the next Axie this time next year mark my words
I agree. Like I was always skeptical to buy ingame items for more than 20bucks a month. Definitely not playing around 400-1500 to have fun. I'd rather spend that money on a roadtrip or something
ye that's why play to earn is technically impossible. unless ur with the first players to play the game. otherwise just do some physical job and play some single player games. and have a fun life.
That what you explain is important to understand for all new players into crypto world. If you want a better topic. Try to explain the metaverse cultural sale.
Many people are playing for profit but ashamed to admit it, like a person not using a coupon or buying a name-brand over generic because of the fear of appearing cheap or poor. The NFT era has changed the way I play games because I can't play regular games any longer without feeling like I am wasting time, which I had no problem doing for 20 years before this. The biggest thing I look for now is play to earn scaling. If you invest $10K in the stock market and I invents $100 we are going to see a similar ROI. However, some games that I would like to avoid offer the largest investors 5, 10, or even 50 times the ROI of their lowest investing players. Then, game changes are implemented that ultimately hurt the lowest players the most making it even hard to recoup their investment. The main thing I am saying, if you can't afford to be a whale, you should be playing for fun with the income as a extra benefit and not the primary reason to play a game. If you don't want to play a game, but want to invest, you should understand that you will need to spend thousands per game while using thousands more as collateral for white listings and pre-sales. Great video. You should look for people to have on your show and discuss these things with.
I agree burning is just short term and not solution. What this game need is create a real ecosystem that link together, example on axie case allo other developer to create game on ronin chain, but it cost ron, and ron need slp to be made, better yet need slp directly to burn, need utility outside the game otherwise it won't survived, so more utility more deman from people to provide value
Hi, I would like to add some more details for this awesome community.... The Memorable MINT TOMORROW at 15:00 UTC. First ever MEMORABILIA DAO + Digital memorabilia collection of 30 signed NFTs. ❣ Love Ali
I'm with ya mate, all these Dunning-Kruger crypto experts that just joined are doing my head in. Nobody is enjoying any play to earn game atm. The traditional merc community are playiing them and just taking newbies money. They have a complicated and often expensive and unnecessary buy in to get started. It's still a total sheet show. The whole idea of scholarships just create tiered play (ie earners and victims).
I am playing for profit, but long term. So that I can reinvest in other crypto games in the future. How did you start 5 accounts on H&E? with 5 devices or can you switch your wallets easily?
Great video, but somewhat incorrect. Its not new players cashing out of heroes empires, its an exploit involving the shards and bots. There was a mass bot attack and shard were exploited, that is why the prices crashed. They we're able to produce a large number of rare and higher heroes for 2 HE each. They are currently fixing that. The same goes with Axie infinity, again not new players cashing out but rather a massive bot farming operation which is why the raised the mmr in hopes to combat it (won't work)
Yeah, that is true, but that just further speed up the process. Without bots the same trend still happens, just a bit slower. Hope these games can get some better anti botting systems soon
Heroes and empires is a complete shit project. They Changed daily quests 3 times in 5 days....nothing balanced. Market is dumping and not balanced. Bad English is used. They just don't care at all if they make a good game.
I made over 1200$ playing thetan for the last 2 weeks. And I enjoy the game. That's a win win. Waaaay better then any other game that I wouldn't have made anything on. I had to put money into the ecosystem in order to make money from the game. Games worth playing aren't a rip off or scam. You'd rather play brawl stars then make 100$/day? Cool bro. What kinda advice is that? Why? Throw money away or make money....not a hard choice.
the problem wih nft games is none of nft games are good or has interesting gameplay. illuvium looks interesing with graphic, but it just the same like other nft games. only investor or someone that want earn interested in nft games. true gamer will not play it. 1. none of it has storyline. this is important. try compare it with fgo, epic seven, ffbe 2. cheap graphic. 3. heroes and kingdom look like idle heroes, but why ppl more prefer idle heroes. not because it f2p, but because it more generous. but impossible nft games to be generous in the first place. it will crash the market and token value 4. no actual ingame update. check axie infinity.

Great video, we actually chatted about this a bit the other day in the Heroes and Empires discord so glad to see you put this information out there.

Yes, but if wveryone is only getting in to make money then the system fails. If they are too expensive then best idea is to wait for scholarships
Have you ever checked out the P2E model of the Crypto Game Spelllfire? I think its rather unique, do you mind sharing your thoughts on that?
Great analysis! Thanks so much for your videos.
pls make another video exactly like this using other games in the space to help solidify the concepts.
The devs from HE are just batshit crazy, but i will stay around to see where it goes
Very good points. Thanks for the vid.

Good content, bro! Wanna jump in Heroes and Empires after that massive drop. Be watching your vids for tutorial in HE.

Yeah good summary. And good idea about gettin ppl on
let's go illuvium 🤩
Can you make video about dog dash mate?
great video dude exactly what I have been noticing with these new games, also playing HE for fun :)

The more I get into this the more I realize Runescape marketplace is a way easier way to make money. And that's been going on for 20 years

thetan arena has been so huge for me its so fun and well past double my ROI.
Yea i played heroes & empire to have fun but the community is so toxic i dont even feel like continuing the game and giving it up completely
Really hope Illuvium could avoid this. up!

I agree with u but look at townstare ... I earn 100$ a day and looks very sustainable and may be increasing
nice content :3
