Great episode. Sandhills are a favorite of mine. They could be heard by the hundreds (too high to see) cruising along the Mississippi Flyway. That's back in the days when V's of Canadian Geese flew over all day long during migration. The Sandhills would stop over in the fields of southern Wisconsin and decimate corn spouts, and some would stay to breed in the marshlands. Industrial farmers hated them. I thought it was a small price to pay. Thanks for featuring them. I appreciate the rest of our friends shown in your vid, and would like praise the short, succinct summation by the fishing critic..
Sandhill cranes do make a racket. Here on coastal prairie of Texas they migrate down and spend winter between harvested rice fields and coastal estuaries. When a hundred are together the sound carries for miles Watching them come in at pre-dawn while goose hunting is always a treat. Although legal to harvest I've always passed.
Wow that is a lot of open space no wonder sound carried so well there is almost nothing to stop it. What brand of trail cam are you using? Been there done that on forgetting to turn it on or check batteries. Cool little stream and "water fall" and such nice clear water. Thanks so much for bringing us along on your trip.
If you can afford to, replace that junk Iphone with a google pixel phone. The newest google pixel phones have some of the best zoom in quality I've ever seen with a phone and don't have to worry about quality dropping to the floor. Love all your videos brotha, very peaceful every time.
I agree with everything you said. Wyoming sure is horrendous. A real hell on earth. Yep. A flat meadow in mountains is a literal cradle in a bosom of earth.
I would say those birds explain the meaning of the old saying, "Craning your neck." 😂 Seriously tho they are beautiful. I have seen these birds in large flocks in south eastern Oregon at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge many years ago. Pictures just don't do them justice, so it is great you got to see them for real.

Wow. You can take me from my little patch in the West and put me into that patch and everything (on the fishing/wildlife) side would be the same. So lucky to have lived a life West of the Rockies….
Another fun thing to do in that area is to see about catching a "Cutt Slam" sponsored by the WY Fish & Game. You catch 1 each variety: Snake River, Yellowstone, Colorado...and the more elusive Bonneville...cutthroat trout. Take pictures of your catches, date etc. and submit to WFG and they'll send you a certificate. Its a good excuse to explore even more gorgeous country. If you hear a saw running come visit, it might be me...the odds are maybe better than catching a grizzly bear attacking an elk on the trail cam.
We had two Sandhill cranes for the last couple years up in MI, but this year I seen them w 2 babies, never seen baby sand hill cranes before it was really cool

This has got to be one of the most wholesome channels on TH-cam.
Nice work! Now I am ABSOLUTELY getting a trail cam. That crane footage, wow!
Excellent change of pace video! I have to admit I was a little disappointed you didn’t wear your logging hard hat

Your trail camera video is stunning. What camera do you use?
Lovely video and comedy commentary too! Thanks, makes a change from logging, but I do like logging!
Great shots of the cranes. Jack got some lovely video with the doe and her faun. Weather in the Rockies changes so quickly it’s amazing.
Thanks!
Every now and then I get my wife, a birder, to watch one of your videos. This was one. Thank you.
They got a tree or 2, kinda surprising .
I saw a tree in Kansas once also.
Such BEAUTIFUL land and creatures!!!😊. Thank you for sharing your adventures!!

Moved here a few years ago. It’s been great. I love Wyoming.
I see the majesty and beauty of God’s creation in all these beautiful videos.

Do you own this land as well? Is Jack your kid?
Those cranes up close were really cool!
Dang, that is some beautiful country!
Beautiful country, love Wyoming!
We got a very good look on the mountains!
Nothing like a mountain thunderstorm. Impressively beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

Great vid. I think it's called fishing, and not catching, for a reason. ;-)
Looks like it gets pretty hot there, the cam said 100 degrees. Is that accurate?
Nice show thanks
You forgot to mention the vampire mosquitoes we have here in wyoming.
what a beauty. thank you. :)
Perhaps we can persuade David Attenborough to do some logging videos ?
Great video of wildlife.
Loved it!
Great episode
Great video!

Great video!
How the heck is anyone supposed to see any scenery with all that open space in the way?
Didn't know there were Magpie's out there, cool.
That was nice. 🙂
A tree channel without many, well, trees. No wonder you aren't impressed with the view... 🤣😂
North West Montana
Look at you with that wide brim hat.
All you folks that do not appreciate clean water, take a close look at water should look like.
Hope you can get some frakking pads on your land
Wow. Gorgeous.
