I absolutely love obscure instruments
How is the hammered dulcimer an obscure instrument?
@@camerongist2159He may not be "into" folksy music. Too bad for him, huh?
@@camerongist2159to some people, a pencil might be obscure
@@camerongist2159 go ask 100 random people what a hammered dulcimer is and watch most if not all of them say they don’t know
@@camerongist2159 Because any normal person would have no idea what a hammered dulcimer is
You got the full lego castle in the back too just to flex beyond the great hammered dulcimer.
😁😁
please, please, please, I need a full version of this beauty!!!
This whole soundtrack is amazing, but on hammered dulcimer--wow!
This transports me. Absolutely beautiful. If I may offer a bit of feedback, I noticed you end your reels with a bit of embelishment, but if you end it in a way that can loop back the beginning people can listen to it endlessly.
This sounds awesome
Lovely! It sounds like a harp
This sounds amazing 🫢💚
Very good! If I had my Dulcimer I'd learn this from you. I love the filler chord work and articulation. I played 30 years ago for about a dozen weddings, one season of our Renaissance Festival, and a College play. And, that was on an 11/12 Dusty Strings kit that I put together. I miss playing.
Magic.
this reminds me so much of a harpsichord that would be used during the evening balls when all the couples would come to the dance floor and tango 🥹🥹🥹
Nice! And your chords are quick and cleanly played. Easy to listen to. Thanks. 🎶🎵🎶
way better than the original! :D
Beautiful
A Persian instrument in a movie about Scottish Vikings and the lead actor is American. I like how international DreamWorks is
Great stuff coming from that instrument.
Hello friend thank you lovely composer.
Sounds wonderful!!
This is Berk. It's twelve days north of Hopeless, and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death.
This is amazing! I love this! Is there a longer version?
OOh this is lovely, can you do Would That I by Hozier. That would sound so good.
amazing skill, amazing instrument, amazing presentaion, under 30 likes. you, my friend, are underrated
Thanks so much! I just posted it, I’m sure it will pick up 🙂
@@EvanPlaysDulcimer hopefully man. keep it up👍
Full version, please 🥺🥺
Increíble 😮
Amazing
Could you make a full video of this pleaseeeee😲😲😲
When are these going on Spotify
I need to get one of these.
Then i'll grow my beard long and my hair longer.
Oh crap I became a wizard
Can you do the full song as a video?
Sir Evan,
This appears to be the 16/15 double strung configuration. Do the hammered dulcimers with fewer strings severely impact the number of songs that can be played, and do you think it is better to get a 16/15 model right from the start? Thanks. 😎👍🏻
I started out on a smaller dulcimer (13/12 Rick Thum Meadowlark I think). It was good for just starting out, or “trying it out” before knowing if I was going to commit or not, but after I got into it I very quickly found that I wanted a bigger one. When I got one I never looked back 😌. So I’d say if you’re sure you’re gonna get into it then a 16/15 is solid, if you just want to try it out then a smaller cheaper one is fine then maybe upgrade later
Hi!!! I was wondering if you have any ideas I could use for substitutes for hammers 😅
Can you do it with a harp
Where is the full version
Can u make it full version with this chord?
Where did you buy the hammered dulcimer?
How much did this cost you
This one I built with a friend of mine, but usually for a full size they start around 600 usd and go into the thousands 😬💲
Beautiful
