    • @FaisalAfroz

      @@PerryCodes You can add your own scripts to speed up videos. I have added some javascript that let me vary speed from 0.01X to 16X . For this video 3x works fine for me.

    What a wonderful tutorial. You have a gift of explaining things simply and clearly. You also do very well at anticipating what questions your views may have and answering them as you go. This was very informative and I went ahead and purchased part one and two of this course on Udemy to show you some support. Keep up the excellent work!

    One of the few best instructors I ever followed on TH-cam. I hope there’s a full real small project tutorial including the most important thing in programming which are authentication and authorization. Unfortunately I didn’t find such even paid courses. Thank you again 🙏🏻

    • @abdullahquhtani4247
      @abdullahquhtani4247 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bhrugen Patel I didn’t find any tutorial even paid ones on Udemy that talk about authentication, authentication and roles of multi-level of users. ( user , manager and administrator ), some times I want the user to see some display fields of the data, manager sees more than what user can see and if course the administrator can see everything. Also CRUD they should be customized who can or cannot do some or all of them. I hope you got my point.

    You are amazing, you have a very special talent for teaching. Please consider making videos in API with both basic and JWT authentication, because there are videos in YT that are quite confusing, so maybe your version can be the one that blasts these confusing videos to oblivion! Please create more videos on JWT, API, Design patterns and SOLID Principles. cheers

    One of the best trainings I've watched.... Besides setting the scene and giving a great context, the way he does the demos ensure you do it from scratch, and, therefore, understand how to do it going forward. The complete opposite of other videos I watched which started from the built-in templates (nothing wrong with using those, but, if you want to really understand it first, this is the video to Watch)! THANKS A LOT!

    Excellent tutorial. Keep going! A nice touch with the Azure implementation. As a developer who is transitioning from Web Forms to MVC, this is the best tutorial I've seen so far. What I noticed in all the tutorials: no example on how to relate two models. It would have been great if you had added another separate video and explained how to link the Category and Application Type models to each other, just as an example, because it's a very common need for beginners. Even so, I would still rate this tutorial 10/10. Thanks!

What a surprise on my end as the job description says "React developer", but on the interview, they told me it's a fullstack position.

    • @elixir662
      @elixir662 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Click on web application when you're selecting the templates during new project creation. There it will give you a few options on what kind of webapp (api, mvc etc.). Select MVC there.
      After that choose the target framework. The latest is .NET 5.0 but .net core 3.1 has LTS. Choose which one you want and that should give you the template in this video.

    One question about Validation, particularly server-side vs client-side: should you always put in server-side validation (i.e. the check for "ModelState.IsValid")? It's my understanding that if you leave that server-side validation off, and just rely on client-side validation, if someone had JavaScript turned off they could bypass your validation. Is that true?

    • @mad_t
      @mad_t 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Never ever turn off server-side validation. Client-side is just a trick to make server load lower.

      I am also coding on a mac, and I can add migrations and update my db using the terminal window in VS mac in the relevant project's directory (dotnet command needs to find your .csproj file for it to work). You might need to download some packages for dotnet command to work but everything is pretty straight forward when you google it online. Hope it works out!
