My mother, sister, and I were homeless, and I was sitting in the shelter doing my homework, and I looked up and saw my mother with sweat pouring down her face, cleaning when she just got off her 9-5. I looked at her and said, "When I get older, I'm gonna make sure you don't ever have to work like this ever again."
