    It's interesting..
    I have questions..
    1) how many times do you change water in a month ? How did you change it ?
    2) is it sea water or fresh water?
    3) what would happen if powers goes off ? No supply oxygen in aquarium.

    Nice aquarium.... unfortunately I went through the same situation with my bass... got them at 1.5 inches and they quickly out grew my pikes and tiger datnoids... they got too aggressive to the point all my fishes started hiding and not feeding, so I eventually had to give them away... really cool fish though

      I have two temensis peacocks and I got them when they were about 3 inches in December 2019. I fed them a lot and they ate a lot. They grew to almost 6 inches by the end of January and then reached 9 inches by the end of February. I continued to feed and they and their tankmates all eat like beasts. I do weekly water changes and now it is coming to the end of March and they only may have grown to 9.5 inches. I don't understand because they put on all that size (3 inches per month) and then all of a sudden it stopped. Do you know why this may have occurred and how can I fix it so they grow again?

      Nice work 👍🏻 My peacock bass tank is also slowly starting to find itself...

    • @flashy5150
      @flashy5150 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brock Mason I’m not acting like a pro on Peacock Bass but it is either because their tank is small enough that it stunts their growth or maybe it’s in their genetics to do a sudden growth spurt at the beginning of their lives so they don’t get eaten by the huge predators in the Amazon. I had Largemouth Bass and they grew really fast at the beginning and then it slowed down when they got to about 6 inches and that was in a 55 gallon long. They can still have plenty of room to swim and their bodies will still tell them that it’s too small to grow anymore, whereas in open water or a lake, they will grow to their maximum. I use this theory : I can be the same age as you but each one of us can be bigger or smaller than each other and the same thing with every living creature, it boils down to genetics. Your Peacock Bass are different offspring than this guys fish in the video. I had a Northern Pike at one time, the fasted growing fish that I ever had, he shot up from 4” to 16” in just over a year, I had to let him go, my tank was “16” wide, he was tearing up everything at feeding time.
