I think it could be that the russian are trying a elastic defense tatctic in the kursk defensive. Just to re-phrase a bit. The main strongholds are cities. Kursk has one big city but the rest of it really looks less populated than Donbass, meaning less strongholds. Easier to capture, harder to hold. Ukraine attacked there because of the geographic weakness of this front. Russia didn't strengthen it - because of the same reason. Ukraine made a grave mistake to come in to the dent of the bear. Nothing good can happen for them. It will be purely impossible to take Kursk. They are already late.

Its a simple lie, that US get no info, minimum they gave info - otherwise such op. can be a total disaster. Intel, surprise, logistics...like a Battle of Bulge... Sirsky and UA were too confident - "we found the solution to..." Without western interwention there is no victory. West decided itself by all means against Russia. This OP brougth the war to RU land with a very good precision and planning. Nato make the next step to ww3. They use the slow reaction time of RU. They will, probably and full scale war declaration. Counter it, UA Mission Forces can send based on two sided agreements. IF Kursk NPP will sized, RU may decide towards escalation. Nato will respond...I think, this whole story just a Trigger for a much worst for all of us.

Same rhetoric as the European media, it means that the information is only Ukrainian, and they always tend to exalt their version. From a journalist of the Russian front, the Ukrainian incursions are detected by satellites, and inserted into the air terminals, which intervene and turn off the incursion. The villages are assaulted by Ackmath troops together with men of the Armenian division, who clean them one after the other. The captures are entrusted to the men of the FSB who pick them up and take them to a first command near Kursk, where they will be judged as terrorists.

However, they could not stay there. Even if not pushed back, they didn't have the supplies. After a month, they had to pull back. It will be interesting to see how long Ukraine can stay. Why aren't they doing that

Because they have no fortifications in the area and all of the reserves got moved to other sections of the front.
People should ask Gerasimov why this debacle happened to begin with.

Alexander Mercouris claims that as per his reliable source, the Russians were aware of the Ukrainian plan about incursion in the Kursk Oblast. This appears strange and untrue. If that is true, why were the Russians well prepared and why are the Russians badly struggling and unable to oust the Ukrainians? What is your take on this claim?
