your Video is well documented. but you should never mentioned words like DEATH in your video. you are discouraging people from venturing out for the trek. I have been to PEB Fort years back. its Not so tough and dangerous Trek. Just have to be careful. Element of risk is always there Boss.
Very good trek. First we go to Aanand wadi then to peb fort. While returning we went to matheran side. When you reach railway track then take left turn towards neral. You have to do 1-2 km walk to reach near panorama point. From there you can call taxi from matheran through their representative for going to matheran base or neral or Karjat. Second option is to do 3-4 km walk towards matheran. Reach dasturi parking point from where u will get taxi for matheran base or neral or Karjat
We are going again tomorrow :) and this video is still helpful. But please let us know the for-hire fare of auto/taxi each time we have to get. Because the auto & taxi wala looted us last time as we did not know so much cost & place.
Trekker Freak Good job creating the videos. They are informative and selection of background music is good. My only suggestion would be to add some information about the forts or places you visit. You could ask locals at base village about stories, facts or legends that have been passed down through generations. Information you would usually not find on the internet. Very few forts have boards with information about them. You could use the videos to share important facts about historical places. This would add more value and make the videos even more interesting.
Hey there. My friends and I are planning a trek to Peb Fort in June. Could you please help me with two doubts: 1. Near the 10 feet rock patch where you have to climb, can you climb without ropes? Are there ropes already attached? 2. Can we get a guide in Anantwadi/Fanaswadi because we are not too confident about the route. Thanks
Hi , Could you please guide me , we are planning to matheran for 2 days visit from Hyderabad. So having few queries below: 1. Matheran sight seeing + Peb fort trek , is it possible to do in 2 days . 2. We would be staying at matheran , so please tell us how we can start trek to Peb fort ? 3. Please tell me whether we should start trekking from Matheran , or we do need to come to Neral to start the Trek , please tell me all the possible trek routes (where to start and all) . Thanks in advance ..
Jashaswi Biswal Hi buddy! 1. All sights or points of Matheran can be covered in one day. You'd have to leave from the hotel by 9 or 10AM and can finish visitng points up till 4PM. FYI - the points are situated far from each other so if you prefer walking then be prepared to walk atleast for 1-2hours in total. If you want to do the Peb fort trek, it is possible but you'd have to leave early in the morning for Anandwadi village. 2. Not really sure about this one, but I think you'd have to reach Neral and then take a taxi or rickshaw from there to Anandwadi base village. 3. There are 2 ways to both ascend and descend the Peb fort. The route shown in the video is quite adventurous and a moderate level trek if there's scanty or medium rainfall. In cade of heavy downpour, I'd recommend that you guys take the rail route which also takes you up to the top. Preferably, while ascending you should prefer the route from Anandwadi and while descending you MUST take the rail line route as descending from the trekking route will be very difficult and risky too. Overall, though you can cover both sight seeing and trekking to Peb in 2 days, just make sure you guys have enough rest before and after the schedule to make sure your body doesn't fall ill. Hope this helps. 😊
Thanks Indrajeet. Few more queries: 1. On the first day we would be reaching Mumbai at 5:00 AM from Hyderabad and our return is on Sunday 7:00 PM from PUNE . So could you please tell us the itenary for these 2 days so that we can cover Matheran sight seeing + Peb Fort . 2. So when we should be doing the Peb fort trek (first day or second). 3. As you said there are 2 routes to Peb . One is from Base Village Anandwadi - Fanaswadi , and the other is from kadyavarcha ganpati matheran . Is the kadyavarcha ganpati matheran route and Matheran Rail route are same . ?? If yes , please tell how to reach starting point ?? And I have read from few blogs , people have said that if they are starting from Anandwadi - Fanaswadi , we need to take a local guide , to ascend through this route and descend through Matheran rail route . Also some have said that they start via Matheran rail route and return by that too . (Getting confused a bit) . Also please suggest which route will be good (as per our time schedule mentioned at point 1) . Hope you don't mind for these lots of queries. Thanks a lot in advance
Thank you for you quick reply buddy , So as you said if we if we cover Peb fort trek on the very first day , will we be able to cover the Matheran sight seeing on the second day(keeping in view we need to be at pune station by 7:00 PM) . We don't want to miss any sight seeing at Matheran so... As of now we are planning to stay at Matheran . It would be good if you can suggest for place to stay(will it be good stay at Matheran) . Please suggest .
Thank you for your quick response . There is a small change in plan , we have booked hotels in mumbai . so we would be staying near mumbai CST. Will reach mumbai on Saturday 5:00 AM .From there we would plan for matheran . And we had booked tickets from Mumbai to Hyderabad , Train will depart from 9:50 PM from Mumbai CST on Sunday . So with this schedule as you had earlier mentioned Peb on day 1 and Matheran sight seeing on day 2 would be feasible ??
Hey can anyone help me how to get to this place by the route they have taken cause there are many routes and I dont wanna miss the heaven of waterfall part
