DANNO: Thanks for the run thru at Sam's Club. That's my favorite. That box of ginger definitely caught my eye along with most of the sales your Club was running.👍
That ginger root looked beautiful! You can freeze it too! I take the root and cut it in small chunks so I just grab what I need out of freezer. Thaw and you can easily peel skin off with back of a spoon.
Here on Cape Cod I couldn’t get over how high paper products are. Prices are getting crazy. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your channel. I find it so helpful. Keep up the good work✌️🇺🇸❤️
I do encourage everyone to double check unit prices on some of the same things at Sam's that you can buy elsewhere. For us there are some things that are pretty close or even cheaper with a sale at other stores. I'm really struggling with justifying a membership next year based on the items we buy. Of course I'm sure for others, Sam's works the best for them.
You are correct you do need to be aware of prices in other stores. Overall I find Sams club to be less expensive per unit especially in the meat department. Grocery store sale prices rarely beat Sams prices and I try to go in the morning to get the marked down meat. This week I bought 2 packages of Baby Back ribs for under $30. Meat, Half and Half, Eggs, Greek Yogurt, Chips are all less expensive. Produce can be hit and miss. I have tried to shop local grocery stores but go back to Sams every week for the per unit cost.
Over the last several months, I have noticed that the produce at Sam's LOOKS good, but when you actually get it home and eat it, the taste is very bland. I bought peppers a few weeks ago that had almost no taste whatsoever. You don't expect the flavor to be nearly as strong as fresh from your garden, but tasteless is another thing. The same thing happened with bananas. Beef is high because the US supply of cattle os very, very low. I started getting my beef and pork from a local farmer. The taste is AMAZING. It hardly resembles the taste of meats from a store or even a butcher shop. I made a lot of dietary changes over the last month for a variety of reasons. I will tell you that since I have gone to buying as much as I can from local sources, stopped eating anything processed or pre-made and upped my exercise daily that I feel like a new person. The biggest changes happened in the first few weeks when I changed my food source and selection. Keep that in mind and perhaps try to get local sourced foods for a little. The prices are the same and some even lower than Sam's. The quality is 100% better. God Bless 🥰
Good job, taking charge of your health. I don’t eat processed food anymore either. I feel so much better. I can’t handle even a small amount of potato chips. My blood panel came back better than it’s ever been. Good produce is hard to find, but I did find a store with nice produce.
We changed our lifestyle in March, and 70 pounds weight loss each, has been amazing. Nothing processed, everything made from scratch, no eating out, or after 7:30 pm has changed our lives, along with fasting. Lots of prayer and fasting. Makes you appreciate food so much, when it’s farm fresh, and you’ve fasted a couple of days for it. Buy very little at the grocery stores anymore. Canned/dry goods, and dairy mostly. With fasting we’ve saved loads of money on our grocery bills, and eating great food has eliminated all our cravings. We highly recommend it!! Hubby WAS a type 2 diabetic ~ 4 shots of insulin a day down to ZERO! Incredible really.

Same for Krogers, the mostly green bananas I bought Friday, are nearly black today, bruising inside the peel. I processed the strawberries on Saturday and found Mold in the middle of the clamshell you couldn't see. My 9 hens keep me in eggs with the really yellow yoke you expect to find in organic in the store, these are a deeper yellow. I keep my 2 boys supplied. Prices predicted for 2024 are much higher. I purchased Kit Kat bars after Halloween special and they tasted terrible, what are they doing to the ingredients for most foods? Went to a restaurant and the chicken was gummy and odd tasting 😢
Thanks Danno. Some of those items you mentioned that I wanted they will not ship - pick up only - but got some. Will not order ANY canned foods from them because on two orders in the past most cans were dented (severely).
I could be wrong but the reason the Jasmine Rice is cheap is because more likely than not it is "old crop" which is last year's harvest, versus "new crop" this year's harvest which does affect quality/taste. In Asian supermarkets the bags of rice usually 15 lbs and greater will note the crop year if it is quality rice. Unfortunately, Sam's does not note the crop year for their bags of rice.
Good Morning, Danno and Jess. I’ll have to make a trip to Sam’s. Been trying to work as much as possible. Prices up so much. You are brave and courageous to bring us all the up-to-date information! Have a wonderful day! PS- would love to see another flea market video
