I actually really liked Breach of Peace and blazed through it, but Rebel's Creed has been a slog so far. The structure of Chapman's story was not a good plan, in my opinion. My biggest gripe is that editing is basically nonexistent; BoP was definitely better in that regard, and even that wasn't perfect. But now that we're on his second book, I'm not really willing to give him nearly as much leeway as a "new" author.
I agree, he did so well with breach of peace because he had so much to do in one novella and it felt so action packed in my opinion and in the slower one he did not perform as well
