ATTENTION TO ALL YOU POOR SOULS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! If you're trying to record a game with bandicam and its lagging just go to game recording mode not video recording mode! I've been using video recording mode and checking a billion videos to solve the lag problem and the solution was in front of me this whole time! I'm going around to as many of those videos as I can to help others!

What works on THPS4? I tried CPU encoding, NVIDIA encoder, saving as AVI or MP4, using H265, using HEVC, putting the game exe compatibility on Windows XP SP2, turning that back off again... none of it works and the game runs at around 12 FPS if I am recording. If I stop recording, it runs at 120 FPS. Even on the menu screens it runs at 12 FPS if I am recording! It recorded THPS 2 and 3 perfectly fine, so why not 4? 🤔
Check the fps tab and see if fps limit is on

No need to imagine because I used OBS for desktop recording and Bandicam for in-game recording.

My bandicam is not registered so the game recording is not working🥲
Even if your Bandicam has not been registered, you can still use the recording feature with a 10 minute limit and there is a watermark.
If you want to get the full version of Bandicam, then download the pirated version via getintopc.com/

Try this method:
1. Run Bandicam as Admin
2. Change the battery mode to High Performance
3. Open Advanced Graphic Settings in the Display Settings Menu, then add Bandicam and set it to High Performance
4. Update your graphics driver

Are you sure that you are using game recording mode instead of desktop recording mode?

What's your specs?
The tutorial that I have made is the best setting for recording on a low end computer. Only reduced by 5 fps while recording.
