- I was lucky to be apart of the testing team for the scx10 pro. For about the last year I have been trailing and running this truck. This video will show you my prototype Scx10pro, and some running videos on the rocks.
SCX10 Pro Details
While designed to competitive crawler standards, the SCX10 Pro is ideal for anyone wanting the best of the best in design and components. The new axle, dubbed the Pro45, features steel tubes
Axle mounted servo and chassis mounted servo are both options. With the servo on the axle, a 4-link front linkage setup is used
The motor is positioned forward and low on a motor mount and connects to the transmission via a driveshaft
The transmission can be 1:1 or 40% rear underdrive
The chassis rails are aluminum for durability, which is perfect for trail rigs, but still light enough for comp use. Carbon fiber upgrade rails will be available from AxialThe shocks are an all-new design that increases tire clearance and offers improved sealing. Optional springs will be available from Axial but rear Losi Mini-T springs fit The shock mounting holes allow the shock position to be changed without impacting ride height T
he skid plate is angled 3.8 degrees
Wyatt Mellon is the designer and has already podiumed and won multiple big events with his SCX10 Pro

Thanks, dude!!!! Yeah, I think this is going to help grow that scene for sure. I also think there is a decent amount of guys who will make it a scaler and now have an amazing-looking rig doing insane lines.

Right I was stoked they let me make a video on the release. Rich and Wyatt are great people.
Price is right on target, I easily have as much into a Vanquish Builders Bundle and GroundFox rails, add high clearance links and I'm already over. Should be a great kit for starters and pros alike, Axial has stacked the deck for people looking to build their 1st Comp rig. I'm building my 1st class 3 this year and I expect I'll see a few of these at my 1st event in June.

Great video, good to see what goes into testing one of these. I wish something like this existed 2 yrs ago, picking parts and wondering if they are going to go together was painful. At times it was almost like a rites of passage trying to find info on what works, etc. This should remove that and make this part of the hobby more accessible and provide some cool new parts to pick from for the more experienced.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Makes it easy for people to get a comp style truck now
I love my pro took me forever to get my hands on one! Only thing I didn’t get to grab the pro body guess I got wait til October Horizon says be back in stock!😊

Thanks for posting this, it pushed me over into buying one shortly after release. I don't have a lot of exposure to the other comp chassis, can you offer some kind of comparison to others out now (e.g. GSpeed, Brazin, etc) and how it performs relative to those? I hear a lot of criticism about it not being aggressive enough (skid angle, breakover, etc), I'm curious how much truth there is behind that.
I think it is all person preference. I think it will be as competitive as the chassis mentioned. Wyatt won and placed in several high level comps against the main chassis on the market.
@@BROCSRC Makes sense, thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if there were any obvious differences/drawbacks to it vs something like a Gspeed (ease of assembly/build aside).

whens ifs or a 1/6 build kit coming out ! there are 100s of 1/10 trail/ rock rigs out all ready . guess ill keep having fun with my 1/5 kraton tube chassis rock bouncer .

Heres the thing everything that you need isn't in the box.......
To build that slider everything you need is in the kit. Currently to build a competitive truck you are sourcing parts from several manufactures.

I don't see anything special about this rig. I'm definitely not impressed from the footage of it running. and that has got to be the ugliest body axial has ever come out with.

I have to think you're violating an NDA here. Every reviewer I've seen who was given a SCX10 Pro has said they were NOT allowed to drive it or post running footage because they're pre-production units. If that's the case, I hope they come down hard on you and at minimum you are disqualified from ever being a part of future Axial releases. The truth is you have essentially "scooped" everyone else and your content is low quality (loud background music, mediocre video, really poor editing, etc.). If I were Axial, I'd be very upset with what you've done.
You couldn't be further from the truth here my man. Rich the product developer commented on the video and gave me permission to make this video and encouraged me to post it on the release date. As for your dissatisfaction with my video, I am just getting started as you can see it's a smaller channel. I am learning as I go and the videos will continue to get better ask I make them. You must have missed the first part of the video where I said Axial asked me to test the rig and provide feedback.
This guy is clueless. I would be jealous of a product tester for Axial too lol. Probably not even part of the crawler scene.
What an obnoxious comment, I don't know why the RC community is so full of people willing to make remarks like this, it's really hostile and discouraging for newcomers. Either way, he had one of 3 preproduction chassis sent out over the last year and clearly is in communication with Rich, Wyatt, and those at Axial, if there was an NDA issue, it would've been flagged already and, regardless, that's not your place. As for the content, he had one of the only actual running videos and discussions on the performance of the truck after it came out, which is really useful for people making decisions early on to buy one. You aren't entitled to being pandered to with extensive editing work, the value of the content is more important especially with such a new release.
Comments like yours are destructive and a waste of space, the RC community is better without asinine comments like this. We need more people like Brocs making useful and relevant content that is constructive and helpful.
