They don't play boring ballads like most vk bands and this makes them stand out from the rest of the scene, especially because they are pretty extreme and they belong to vk scene. I would rather not classify them as part of punk or metal scene. I would say, they became more orginal since they started changing sound somewhere around the bloody-red face album from 2010 (Mostly bc they no longer still riffs from Kuro and Discharge xD)
they sound hardcore but i don't think they take themselves very seriously, just for music and kicks rather than actual passionate pain inside which a hardcore fan feels.
