As cool as it is, he always has reviews of them right at the halfway house, pulled out of heated thing at the turn. Instead he gives them this at hole 5, probably cold (assuming they were bought before the start), so these might have been hot, but now sitting in their own condensation for 1+hr. If this meant that much to him (and clearly it does), why not make sure they're the freshest? Again, love the idea and the though. The execution was not great.
