Wouldn’t change anything, the whole thing was about him not reporting, he just stood there.
No, the problem wasn't that he saw the kill, the problem was that he didn't report it. They all thought smitty did the kill and vented, but as a non-imposter that's the kind of thing you don't stand there and just look at until someone else comes along and reports it for you.
That whole part at 7:45 where Nogla Sus's Grizzy and then realises he fucked up, Grizzy screaming "NO SHIT NOGLA", Can't get enough of that part!
