We explore the spectacular Asturian and Cantabrian coasts, with stops at places like Luarca, the Hermitage of Santa Justa in Ubiarco and the Desfiladero de la Hermida. In the south, we will immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Cadiz Coast, with gems such as the Castle of Sancti Petri and the city of Cadiz. We also visit Jimena de la Frontera, Castellar de la Frontera and Arcos de la Frontera, all in the province of Cadiz, along with the emblematic Ronda in Malaga.
We visited towns full of history and tradition such as Santillana del Mar, Comillas, Potes, Peñalba de Santiago, Bulnes, Carmona and Bárcena Mayor. We marvelled at the medieval castles of Peñafiel, Montalbán, Escalona, Belmonte and Calatrava La Nueva. In Cuenca, we enjoy its emblematic hanging houses and the castle of Uclés.
We visit emblematic cities such as Toledo, Seville, Cuenca, Madrid, Ávila, Segovia, Burgos and León, and explore unique natural landscapes such as the Hoces del Río Duratón, the Tejera Negra beech forest, the Pedrosa beech forest and the Valle de los Caídos (Valley of the Fallen). We also venture through the Bierzo region in León, the Puebla de Sanabria in Zamora, the Desfiladero de la Yecla in Burgos and the stunning landscapes of Guadalajara such as Valverde de los Arroyos and Majaelrayo.
The route also takes us to the mythical city of Ronda in Malaga, with its impressive New Bridge, and to the beauty of Albarracín in Teruel, considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. On our way, we also discover the Castle of Peracense in Teruel, the windmills of Consuegra in Toledo, the Castle of Oropesa and the Castle of Belmonte.
We also stop in the majestic city of León, with its iconic Gothic cathedral, and explore the Caves of Valporquero, an underground site of great beauty. In Burgos, we marvelled at Puentedey, a natural enclave that looks like something out of a fairytale. We visit Burgo de Osma and Rello in Soria, two medieval jewels that stand out for their historical preservation.
We head into the mountains of Madrid, with places such as Patones de Arriba, Buitrago de Lozoya and the waterfalls of Rascafría. In the province of Segovia, we visit Maderuelo, Sepúlveda and Pedraza, three destinations with a special charm. We also make a stop at the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso and the Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial.
In Extremadura, we visit Garganta de Olla, Cuacos de Yuste, Guadalupe and Trujillo, all with a rich history and impressive architecture. Finally, we explored the castles of Peñafiel and La Mota in Valladolid, Calatrava La Nueva in Ciudad Real, and Alcaudete in Jaén. In the latter province, we also visited Úmeda, Cazorla and La Hiruela.
This trip is an ode to the diversity and beauty of Spain, with aerial images, panoramic shots and details of each destination.
