Rincon was always my favorite spot to camp, it was always first come first served and it was easy to get a spot if you just went up on a Sun-Tuesday. Now that it is a reservation only, I almost never go there anymore. Reservations suck the fun out of RVing!!!
Till about a year ago it used to be easy to get a spot there. It was first come, first served. All you had to do was go up on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and you got a spot. I never go there anymore, who wants to plan months in advanced? That sucks all the fun out of RVing!!!
Nothing better than Sleeping to the Ocean waves. Swimming in the morning. Then Laying out in the Son listening to Music. For me it was Josh Groben. His First Album Back in 2005. Ear Phones was Amazing!!!. Sadly it was my Last trip. My Grandpa Passed away after that Trip. December 6 2005. My Dads Birthday.
Last time we stayed at Rincon there wasn’t a reservation system. There was a drainage tunnel under the road across from our spot and we could just walk across the road and cut back under through the tunnel to the beach! I’m a train buff so I loved it. It’s the Surfliners and the Coast Starlight that run along there with an occasional freight train. Thanks for the video.
I Had A Lot of Very Happy Memories here with my Grandparents and Dad. My Dad was the One who introduced me to the Ocean as a young Girl. Only Because my Grandparents were already there in Ventura. I remember this. ❤️
I go fishing there all the time! There is also another half of the pacific coast highway heading south where it’s next to rocky cliffs. This is the northern pch.
I Grew Up with such an Amazing Love for the Ocean. I will gladly Swim In the Ocean even at 48 years Old. I Love the Ocean with my Whole Heart. A Beautiful Gift from God.
We live nearby & have a love/hate relationship with camping at The Rincon - love the sunsets, the beach (our Lab loved it here), looking up the beach at night at all of the campfires, but don’t like being so close to other RVs. We have a Rpod so we are small and are set up with solar so are quiet. Inevitably we get a loud, smelly generator upwind... still love the view though!
At Night My Grandpa and I use to go outside when it was Dark when I Needed A Cigarette. The Waves Lit Up. Electric White. We Thought it was So Cool. Look for that in the Waves. ❤️
That's totally false you cant reserve months in advance now ,you have to go online when you're in the park and see what spots are available, when you pull up to the spot you are the first to get that spot you cannot reserve a spot without physically being on it , this was on July 19 2019.
@@Mrjazzzery Where? I go there all the time and they are militant about no tents and you HAVE to have an RV on the parking spot. The ranger comes by several times a day. This is the most strict places I have ever camped at. I do know about a spot a few miles north, but just not here.
@@jamescabaniss5857 you’re correct they are. It was a few stops north I believe had a sick parking lot with kids HOONING in it all night had an underpass and an area along the north side of the freeway. It wasnt “peacefull” by any means idk if that was because the freeway doesn’t sleep or because I was having such an adrenaline rush lol. I took my gf and my two dogs “on leash” I have a second channel called campinfuncars I recorded a little bit of it called something in my si I can’t recall about two years ago when I comment this. happy 420!!
@@Mrjazzzery Yeah, that sounds like it. It is about 45 miles north of RIncon. I search for your video of it but could not find campinfuncars. I have stayed there a few times with no problems, but right now it is closed due to flooding. It is just about the only 'free' spot i know of along the coast.
It's not a busy highway, it's very safe actually. This place is always packed on holiday weekends. The main road, US 101 right above is the one that has all the traffic and the one that's busy.
You can only book up to 3 months in advance, you do not have to physically be there to make a reservation, you can though if you are there, go to venturaparks.org and see what sites are available for the amount of nights you want to stay,if a site is available pull into that site and book it for the amount of nights you want to stay,it could not be any simpler.
As an overview of this camping opportunity, well done. Video quality poor. Narration not bad at all. Like to see you in a helmet when you are on a bicycle however.

Thank You For Sharing this. I Miss this so much.
Finally a video that gives me individual site info instead of just beach scenes. Very useful! Just booked my site based on your video. THANKS.
hello , I NEED HELP , how did you reserve your spot at front ocean beach, thanks
Always A Wonderful Place to be. I miss it.

I Miss my Grandparents Right now. Miss these Moments camping with them on the Rincon. Best days my Life. I Love the Beach and Camping out.

June Gloom, Drove past this on the 101 & I was in awe!

It's Usually Cloudy and Cold in the Morning, but it clears up an Sunny by mid morning Usually. ❤
Thank you for the video! Perfect timing bc we are planning a trip in March and now I can see the spots! Have a good day!
Most Peaceful Place to Sleep at Night. I was Blessed with the times with my Grandparents. We Had Sunny Days and Beautiful Sunsets. ❤️😊
This was a very interesting video for 2019 keep up the good 😀

So Cool. Love it... Great Post.
At Night My Grandpa and I use to go outside when it was Dark when I Needed A Cigarette. The Waves Lit Up. Electric White. We Thought it was So Cool. Look for that in the Waves. ❤️
My Grandparents were Usually the First 2 or 3 Spots in the Front close to Faria Beach.
I have tried to book a spot since March but no luck 🙃 can you recommend any RV beach spots in California?
Great video info and commentary.
The Only time I don't have to sleep with a fan is sleeping with The wave sounds. ❤❤❤
Is there any ohv around there?
Nice video. It's first come, first served...
Nope,Reservation only,started two years ago

4:40 it’s the Pacific Surfliner 🚂 😊
It’s RIN-CONE … Spanish word meaning corner or nook or special place.
Is it free?
My Grandparents Spot was the one Closet to Feria. I think it was 84. Not sure.
And Yes its Pronounced RIN-CON. ☺
I go there all the time!
Oh they Went Down in Price.
Any stealth camping areas for a tent and car?
No
I went there was.

Worth the price.
It Never Use to be Reserved. It Use to be First Come First Serve. My Grandparents were Usually There in a Place by 10Am on a Monday.
Not REEN CON.
I would not camp on the side of a hwy. Not a very safe thing to do.

Rin-Con
You tricked me...you said you were going all the way up to spot #1, but you only went up to #50...very disappointing!

It's awful a spot as you can find on that coast. A noisy parking lot, Plenty of great spots in the hills.
Not REE-CON
People are that desperate... rving 5ft from a main road and parking inches from strangers.... Nah, I'll pass...
Traffic dies down at night....being on the beach is incredible
That's a side road, definitely not a main road.
looks pretty overrated.

It's not rin con
LA GO HOME!
