I own both also. For ice fishing in cold temps the Titans ~100 are hard to beat, your feet will never feel cold. Sooner of later you will find yourself trecking through slush and water. The liner is removable, excellent for drying out any moisture quickly and having them ready for the next day. One thing I don't like about the Titans is ,there wide around the top, some times they can be difficult to zip under your snow bib.

As far as socks go. I'm trying alpaca this year and so far I'm impressed. I've always had wool and so far the alpaca socks are blowing wool away. Just be sure to get the heavy weight socks.

I get my Alpaca Socks from Frost Farm here in Wisconsin. The owners are awesome people and the socks are the best I have ever worn.

I'm on a maintenance crew in Columbia County NY, about 130 miles north of NYC. I started in February of 2023 and had wet cold feet doing snow removal in the last few storms last winter. I am seriously considering the Titans for this winter, shoveling, snow blowing, plowing on a Toro Multiforce and plowing in trucks. I will almost certainly be working in slush and wet conditions. My main questions are, what size to order, with wool socks I'm an 11 EE or 11.5 normally, and how would they be for driving an automatic transmission plow truck? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I don’t like driving in the titans but I’ve driven some big equipment before and granted you have the room I think they would do ok… Just remember not to wear a Thick Heavy Wool sock as your feet will sweat and you don’t want that as that’s what makes them cold! I prefer my light knee high snowboarding wool socks to do active work in them👊🏻

Almost forgot they are pretty close to size so you could probably get away with a 11 1/2 or 12

I had a pair of Baffins, not the Titans but the version before the titans. They sucked bad. The liner wore out in several places within the first year. I went back to my waterproof Danners.

@@djomegaminus a big thing I see a lot of people get wrong is sock type! New age wool socks are amazing at keeping your feet dry and that’s what keep them warm!

Im around a 9.5 to 10. Should I go with the 11 size Titans? My Sorel ice fishers are giving up the ghost after 25 years got em when I was like 12 or 13. Kind of amazing since I'm out pretty much everyday once shes thick enough.

First of all, I’ve never owned a pair of Baffin boots, so I can’t really compare to them. Muck arctic pro are the warmest boots I’ve ever owned. I’ve never had cold feet or wet feet. Second of all need to mention that there is a rubber conditioner that should be used on those rubber boots to help prolong their life.

I own the Muck Arctic Pro. Great boots I have 3 pair of Muck boots. But my feet get cold in the extreme cold with the Muck Arctic Pros. I went to the local sporting goods store and looked at the Baffin Titans and asked the owner who’s a friend of mine if they’re warmer? He assured me they were. They definitely feel more insulated. I hope to put them to the test soon.

@@jimnummerdor9687 NW Iowa we still have around 2’ of good ice in most areas and still driving on it. But accesses are getting a little rough as it warms. Planning on trying the new boots this weekend but worried my ice cleats may not fit. Was in the Devils lake area recently and they had less ice than we did in most places which surprised me. Best of luck fishing Jim.
