Pure Malice is super underrated, it’s just a simple villain track that just makes it feel like you’re fighting a truly slimy group that’s just leering at you at every step, until you humble them real good Now if only Tamashiro actually used this theme in game instead of More Huge
@@Name_man ?! You're telling me 4's Four Faith versions, Smile Venomously, Receive and Bite You, Rebellions, Material Delights, Speed Star, Infinite Handcuff, Underground Dazzling Star, and Receive You Ballad can't compare to 3?! @@sheevpalps3846 I find it funny how you named about 12 songs and only three of them were actually good (didn’t even mention Solitude, the final good track). 3 has Pure Malice, FM-Sound Storm, Ogre Has Returned and Bruise. All of those eclipse the songs you mentioned by varying degrees.
@@Name_man Well only Bruise is good of the ones you mentioned, and Ogre Has Returned is ok but Lau Ka Long remix from Kiwami is so much better than it. I like 3's themes, I just don't think it has the variety 4 has, or the thematic connections behind it (Smile Venomously is associated with Kiryu as the myth, instrumentation of Four Faith depends on each character, etc.). Atleast you have to agree, Majima's Receive You in 4 is the best of all the games
Fly and Lyricism Without Tears were my favourite themes from Y3 that I discovered before I actually got into Y3, and I've been sleeping on the rest of them. Tho once I actually _did_ get into Y3, I've developed a newfound appreciation for the other themes like More Huge, Pure Malice, Ogre Has Returned, End Point, and _especially_ Sound's Storm. There are probably a ton of people that are like how I was that just completely skipped over 3 for a variety of reasons, and thought Fly was the only good track in 3, but that couldn't have been more wrong.

@@scarymeunster9095 Idk, it took a while for me cause the damage you deal is pretty low too. I'm not counting fully upgraded cause that's basically late game stuff
Honestly I feel like Andre Richardson’s theme is a lot more different than others, but it also fits since he is an American gun boss that is in a Japanese Yakuza conflict
Great compilation ! Y3's OST has always been one of my favorites, along with other older games and Kiwami remakes. Couple things, though-why did you choose to include Crush & Strike in the boss compilation ? It's a regular battle theme that randomly plays in both Kamurocho and Downtown Ryukyu up against large groups of enemies (5 and more). Also, could you update the description to list More Huge as Hamazaki's Battle for Survival theme too, just like you did in the past version of this compilation.
Yakuza 3 has the best ost, all these tracks get stuck in my head idk what it is. Ill treatment, Clay Doll on the Cradle, More Huge and Pure Malice especially. That’s not even mentioning Fly, Sound Storms, Ogre Returned, etc The guitar/rock elements i guess, and all the tracks feel so layered and dynamic
Receive and Stab You - Tied with Turn you for my favourite Majima track. Pretty good! More Huge - One of the better regular boss tracks. Not much to say other than its pretty nice! Crush & Strike - Alright. Pure Malice - Underrated song. Similar to Evil Itself (not instrument wise but in tone) another song I like a fair bit. Its a simple yet effective track that encapsulates “boss” really well. Classic bad guy ost. Sound Storm - Pretty neat Independence For Violence - also OK but I prefer the Kiwami 1 version. Ogre Has Returned - Meh. Lyricism Without Tears - Good music without many issues. I like it. Fly - My favourite like most people. One of the best yakuza final boss themes. Fits the fight and is just a wicked track in general!
this game is where nearly all the boss movesets from later games originate. got to respect it for that
