I feel him watching, though I can’t see,
His shadow stretches, crawling after me.
They say he’s holy, pure and true,
But when I hear his footsteps, I tremble through and through.
I try to breathe, but my chest is tight,
I’m drowning in the darkness, losing sight.
There’s something in his eyes, a darkness in disguise,
Whispers in the night, pulling at my mind.
I’m running but I’m trapped, caught within his grasp,
A force I can’t outrun, no matter how I hide.
There’s something in his eyes, a terror undefined,
The walls are closing in, I hear his name,
But when I try to speak, my voice won’t do the same.
They kneel before him, say he’s full of grace,
But I can feel the coldness behind that face.
I wish I could run, but the air is thick,
Every breath I take, I feel more sick.
