my diagnoses in order are social anxiety disorder, general anxiety disorder, major depression, panic disorder, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, seasonal affective disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (mainly inattentive), and rejection sensitive dysphoria (part of adhd i think but im not completely sure tbh). i've never been directly diagnosed with tourettes syndrome even though i have an extremely large amount of motor tics and rapidly increasing vocal tics(for well over a year), so i assume i'll be diagnosed soon, but i havent yet so i will not say i have it bc self-diagnosis is bad.
my team of therapists are also considering the potential of post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar disorder. i honestly feel like a freak most of the time bc 99% of my time is taken up my these illnesses and its so exausting. i lose motivation to live a lot. i'm a 17 year old girl, and have no idea how i'm going to survive in the "real world" as teachers call it. i think the best i can do is try to learn as much as possible about these illnesses to help me cope and learn new techniques. i greatly appreciate this video because i never knew there was a correlation between OCD, ADHD, and tourettes, so thank you!!!

Hey, I know you made this comment a year ago but I just wanted to say I have the same diagnoses as you, except I don't have insomnia and I was already diagnosed with PTSD. I relate a lot to what you said and how you feel, so I just want you to know you're not alone and you are worthy of a happy, healthy life. I'm 25 and it's still a struggle and a roller coaster, but the more I've learned the more it's helped me. You can definitely make it in the real world and I hope you are doing well! ♥️

You are not a freak! You may have a lot of disorders, but at they’re diagnosed which means you know what they are and how they can be treated. My younger brother has had something doctos have been trying to diagnose with for three years. It’s just just a never ending cycle and I don’t think he’ll ever get treated, he has out my family through hell and back, but it is hard because it is not his fault. I know he will never fully recover from this, we just have to live with it until we go crazy or it eventually eats him inside out and kills him. 😔

Both my psychiatrist and counselor brushed it off as, "YOU THINK YOU SAID IT OUTLOUD, BUT DID NOT." Except I know that I did.

So I have adhd, and I didn’t start thinking about my behaviors as tics until recently when I realized that I’m never cold and the shoulder shrug can’t be shivering and my other tics have no explanation , I’ll like shrug my shoulders and move my head in a certain direction usually left (I was born with Torticollis with the muscle on the right side, which would make a lot of sense. My hands will tense up and or open, and I do tend to grimace uncontrollably on occasion, and I occasionally I do tend to have pitch change occur while speaking but it’s more common when other tics are present. I never noticed that behaviors like this weren’t normal. It’s crazy, and like it’s been happening my whole life, I just notice things like this more now. I’d also like to point out I have dysgraphia

I was diagnosed with all 3 when I was 7. My ADHD has remained kinda the same through the years, I feel like it’s just like a personality at this point. My OCD has worsened and turned into BDD and I can get very very neurotic. Sometimes I dissociate if it gets super bad, I’ll just numb out. And my tics were bad when I was a kid, motor and vocal, but now I only do the shoulder thing, and scrunching my fingers.

Ocd for me is the worst part, it's so painful mentally that sometimes i just want to end it all. When i really enjoy something and i fixate on it, my ocd finds ways to connect it to me and start a new painful obsession with neverending mental compulsions.

Try cannabis! It is a wonderful anti-depressant with far less side effect than SSRIs, and I use it in treating my TS, ADHD, and OCD alongside my depression (that is when I still had it). Many people are so afraid to try it, but research is showing it true capabilities, and it really is a miracle drug at the very least for me! I was insanely depressed and suicidal and getting a medical card really helped, especially with the TS and Depression. However, If you don't have medical marijuana available in your state (due to our corrupt government), the black market will work just fine. But make sure you use CBD in conjunction with the THC rich cannabis as having both is essential to it being balanced and effective usually roughly a 1 to 1 ratio is good, and you can experiment to find the right dosage. For me, it is very small amounts, as too much can just be overwhelming for some individuals. Hope I helped!

@@GraysBlue I was on prozac for a while (six a day!!!!) and I found out that it has 'side effects' of suicidal ideation - I ended up getting off that medication (as safely as I could) (I had previously been on lexipro and zoloft) and I realized that there are people throughout history that have overcome much bigger hurdles than I was dealing with in life - I started looking at sufis and yogis and philosophers and the great alchemists of history that were able to impart the wisdom - quotes affirmations proverbs and more that helped sew the strength I needed to keep moving forward. Finding herbal remedies helped immensely and essential oils became a staple - I began to realize that there are inherent frequencies (energies) within the herbs and oils and also crystals and foods that correlate with the chakras (or main stellate ganglion nerve centers) within the body and this helped me to learn how to speed up and slow down my neural synapses better as well as learn about the other therapeutic benefits such plants and herbal medicines are able to provide. I truly hope that you've found relief and healing and that your life is abundant and full of joy now as your comment was posted two years ago - regardless please know that you are the result of your ancestors - the sum of their parts and they survived cataclysms and disasters beyond our wildest comprehension and you have that fighting strength imbued in your DNA RNA and infused in your soul

I want to go in the forces. But my ADD & OCD are slowly becoming uncontrollable. But recently like a year ago I started noticing my right eye lid would start blinking. I honestly thought I was crazy and imagining it. But then I started to turn my head to one side. Then if course it gets better... I started to hit my chest/sternum area, then my wrist decided to move. It's kinda of like the movement of when the one hand clap was popular in 2009. (The best I could explain). Idk if my sniffling is relevant because I have bad allergies.
My ADD is ridiculous and a pain but I've always had a form of ADHD (I'm just not hyper anymore).
My OCD is getting worse. I have this thing with opening & closing things but it has to he done in three. And apparently when I touch things in stores I have to touch them with both hands. (Like right hand hold body wash and puts it back then left hand repeats.) My boyfriend noticed it but waited to tell me to see if it was a constant. If I fail to do my rituals karma beats me up. Literally ignored the door one once and I stumped my toe and cut it open. (I usually walk the opposite side of the couch when I do my ritual & I didnt)

Here to understand if my adhd is causing me to tic as I’m not sure if a tic is relieved by emotional pressure being released once tic is done. If that makes sense. I get agitated and if I tic, in my case I bang my head when I get overwhelmed in adhd overload mode, and then the only thing that satiated the agitated and anxious build up is to fully complete that “tic”. Always saw it as self harm but when I saw a girl with Tourette’s doing the same thing involuntary I realised I also don’t get the control. I have been able to imbed mindfulness and medication together to reduce the agitation and anxiety that builds up but I wonder if it still could be a tic bc it usually would be involuntary.

I was diagnosed with OCD in my late teens but finding out OCD was a symptom of ADD made so much sense to me looking back - Im now in my mid thirties - I wasnt diagnosed until 2019 with ADD but my symptoms were exponentially worse every time I experienced significant trauma - three years ago I developed motor tics and it only seems to be getting worse.... finding out ADD is considered a neurological condition was a revelation to me as I had already been diagnosed with another neurological condition (degenerative - CRPS) after a head on hit and run collision where they never found the guy who hit me. I am concerned the tics are going to get worse. I don't know if I should get the tics diagnosed as a separate disorder..
I have already been diagnosed formally with depression anxiety CRPS POTS SLE CPTSD OCD BDD and ADD and allergies\intolerances and its been 15 years on the medical merri-go-round - and two years after being diagnosed with ADD after hitting a threshold in 2018\2019 I still havent had any support or treatment around it and Im concerned that the medication that I was prescribed was not the right kind of medication...... help?

Even as a kid I would get intrusive thoughts and compulsions only because I was extremely lonely and isolated and neglected. My ADHD brain almost created OCD for entertainment if that makes sense. And now as an adult ADHD affects me greatly but OCD is almost gone. Weird right. We should form a group of people who psych comorbidities and chronic pain conditions and trauma who ahve been gaslit by doctors our whole lives. All these things are oubviously interelated but they try to treat them as seperate conditions

I used to have OCD as a child, but luckily it went away for the most part when I turned 12. (Still a little remains in me). I currently have tourettes and tic about every 30 seconds or so. Jaw clicking, neck and shoulder twitching.
Just a year ago I started noticing that it was getting harder to concentrate and focus on my subjects in school. That soon carried over to everything, including some of my hobbies too. I cannot focus very well, even on the things I love to do such as drawing. But for some weird reason, I can focus on video games and social media. It annoys me so much. I am never able to focus unless say, if the deadline was a night's sleep before or in an hour.
I really hope I don't end up with ADHD, because that would just destroy me. My parents put their trust in me and spend a good amount on me so I can go to America for university, (perhaps the ivy league). I'm trying my best, but at the same time I cannot. Because I can't focus. My peers are all ahead of me, and I'm just behind struggling.
I can't read a book because I keep ticcing and ticcing, I don't know why!! It angers me so much sometimes I can't control myself and I start raging. I don't want to get into detail, but I'm super emotional for some reason. On top of all this, I have some social anxiety too.
Welp, I'm just putting this out there. I know most of you guys have it worse than me. And to that, I wish you all the best of luck.

I need help, so when I was nine was the first time anything happened. I jerked my neck and I couldn’t stop, that continued all day, nobody asked and it then continued up until I was in fourth grade and then it stopped then months later continued again, then until I was in fifth grade it came back again out of no where, continued all day. Then didn’t happen again til i was 12 and I started making random sounds out of no where and then the neck jerking again, I have adhd and I just recently found out about adhd tics, but I’m confused.

So I have adhd, autism, ocd, anxiety, depression, dyslexia and various CI also as I have got older I have having more tics I very much doubt its tourettets as most the time it will happen when I'm stressed or in high anxiety situations and been like this since I actually went into foster care many specialist said it's down to past trauma and something that can come along with adhd and autism my mains tics are like jolting my head back, eye roll, make a weird noise and alot/most my body tensing up at once. Its annoying and at the moment they are alot worse and I think it's because I'm gonna be starting collage soon, waiting gcse results and family issues. My ocd plays a small role where its more me controlling some say like hitting things the ocd basically says u need to grab/touch it now and so I do that thing or I will have intrusivethoughts that take over which can end in bad. Over the past few days I have been doing a program called NCS and 1 the other people who attend it has tics and let's just say its back and forth which can be funny but the other day we was working in a kitchen with knifes ect and for me I get stressed quickly and 1 my main ones will be hitting/grabing things especially hot or Sharp things and her tics was goin off which was triggering mine and so I had to not take much part in it or try hold them in but I could use the knife cuz I have before and I cut my hand and almost stabbed my class mate when I did food tech so u had both of us trying to do as much as possible without putting anyone in danger which yeah was a bit crazy honestly and it was chaos lol but we got through it but yeah my mam asks me constantly if I do something why I do it and I said idk but because of hate I try hide my tics almost by doing things that take people's attention from it and or they don't ask and just think I didn't take my meds so was hyper sometimes I would say this that would bring attention but my mates know we can laugh at it as long as I ain't harming my self or others if I do they know how to try help calm them and when to intervene.

And how normal do motor tics come along females with severe adhd? I used to have a lot of these a kid and have a dx of adhd and ocd. The ocd and my adhd are managed with psychopharmacology. If I stop all my ocd meds my adhd meds make my ocd spiral. And the stop of my adhd meds causes agitation and anxiety that implodes in feelings of extreme
inner restlessness but inability to do anything but whatever my body want to do that moment.
Meds and therapy skills training make a huge difference i hate the side effects long term.
I now require more medication to manage the side effects. I will be trying TMS for symptom management S I also have depression from the medicated brain soup from all these meds in my neurological makeup since childhood. I’ve come off all meds a few times and I couldn’t do anything and felt suicidal. Things like getting out of bed , shower or care for myself were mammoth tasks and that wasn’t a thing prior to medication being introduced around age 9..
    Pretty scary.

I'm 36 live alone, i know I'm dyslexic and adhd and 99% sure i have ocd, i watched a video of girl with tortes and i noticed i do some of the same things, i can keep it under control in pubic i think, i noticed I do eyebrow movements, tapping and snapping in pubic. When i get home id start judging all my interactions i had with people of that day, and placing negative views in there place. When this happens i might randomly say "hey" or and put my hand up or roll my eyes, if i notice myself doing it, it only gets worst because a new voice is added saying "stopping it" or a hand jester suggesting stop. After seeing this video It s pretty much confirming to me i have this, it started ticking me off a little , no really it did.lol
i realize i do the excited ticking and it feel good doing that. I also believe i may asd also because of my art and music skills i though myself along with me proffering to be alone. Its good and bad, im just trying not care what people think and just be mindful of. Its not always easy and sometimes i just want to be a big baby but i got to my love myself first always.

Some countries have hotlines that you can speak to people about - foundations and charities and other online support groups as well often have ways to speak to one or more people about what you're experiencing but if you can find a good doctor (which can be a challenge no lie) they won't just help you figure out what is happening with you but also if they know their stuff they will give you holistic options for treatment and support in order to help you feel like you are managing your symptoms better and adapting accordingly. I wish you the best of luck healing and blessings truly - It is a tough journey and I have (and still am) on it too - Much love xo

And maybe you should consider: 1. there aren't only kids, I'm 59 years' old and I have some experience of controlling it, 2. the tics aren't the only thing, but there is a mood disorder typical for Tourette's too, 3. there appears to be some positive side effects of Tourette's (now skip that ridiculous superpower talk -- everything comes at a cost!), that makes it prevail evolutionary, please investigate what it is, it is not *just* those lightning fast reflexes enabling *some* Tourettians to become high ranked sportsmen.

My disorders right now: ADHD (my parents say no) I might have a skin picking disorder which is like OCD I guess but my psychiatrist asks me “how my OCD has been”, GAD, depression, insomnia, MAYBE RSD.
There’s a “tic” that I do when I’m not cold or anything, it just happens but my whole body twitches, but it only happens once or twice a day, and I have another “tic” where I’ll repeat someone’s words or I will just say something completely off topic, such as someone is talking about “Splish splash, I was taking a bath.” I will randomly mention “Winn-Dixie”.
I’ve had ADHD since pre-school and later got diagnosed with depression and GAD, and insomnia (which has been getting worse) I think I have a skin picking disorder because I pick at my bottom lip all the time without pausing, or I do the same thing with hangnails. I think I have RSD but I’m not completely sure.
I know I do have ADHD with the following symptoms:
    - fidgeting
    - distracted
    - changes topics quickly
    - I can focus and unfocus my eyes on command (I can blur my vision on command)
    - Depression and anxiety are symptoms of ADHD
    - Forgetful (I will spend 30 minutes finding my glasses)
    - Fatigued
    - Loud and speaks fast
    (adhd: Disney FastPlay.)
    - loses important things such as, my phone, my therapy toy (adhd: my bear bear is my berry on top :3)
    - doesn’t follow directions very well
    - Random anger
    GAD symptoms:
    - Insomnia from worries thoughts
    - Worries often to the point I have a panic attack and or cry.
    - Fears of judgement
    - I will say one of my phobias: I have a phobia of bugs, I’m especially scared of ants and that’s because I feel like they will crawl up my legs and go inside of me.
    - Checks surroundings way too often.
    - Random anxiety episodes
    - Cries when yelled at.
    Depression Symptoms:
    - Frequently crying or tearing up
    - Questioning self-worth
    - I do look at buildings and look at the top of the building, imaging myself jumping off the building
    - Suicidal Thoughts
    - Fatigue
    - Uninterested in things I used to be interested in.
    - No motivation whatsoever (unless I’m fidgeting)
    - Insomnia
    Skin picking disorder:
    - Can’t stop picking at skin until it’s off
    - Gets angry or cries when I give up on it
    (Weird, right?)
    - Jdkejfjnsnkakcojej .>
    - I feel relieved once the skin is off

Some things need to be prioritised over something as trivial and superficial as grades! Nobody even remembers even 80% of what they learn in high school! I know multiple kids in school who take these medications and the side effects/toxicity just aren't beneficial to them in the long run. College doesn't look at your elementary grade sheets.
