Yeah, a lot of Spider-Man fans wanted to play as Venom for years since Ultimate Spider-Man game in 2005.
I died so many times fighting Scream it was hilarious 😂 and playing as Venom I lost my mind when the X attack button appeared on screen i was like Let's Go ! 🤘🔥, also just curious are you planning to play Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League when it comes out on February 2nd ?

So in the comics Anti-Venom was created when Eddie Brock (the usual host of Venom) was cured of his cancer by Martin Li. When Venom tried to leave its current host to return to Eddie, it was unable to do so because of Martin's power within Eddie. This in turn caused the remnants of the symbiote within Eddie to merge with Martin Li's power and form a new symbiote called Anti-Venom, which can notably heal people or cancel out their abilities.
They used a similar method here in game by having Li drain his powers into the symbiote left in Peter, thus creating the Anti-Venom symbiote, which has all the powers without the corruptive side effects.
The main reason they went this route was one of two reason I believe. One, for gameplay purposes so you could still use your symbiote abilities without feeling like you wasted perk points. And two, in universe Miles has gotten pretty powerful with the blue lightning, so giving Peter the Anti-Venom symbiote lets him still stay on a similar scale power-wise. Plus, Peter has never been a host for Anti-Venom before, so this is something unique to help set him apart from other variants of Peter Parker.
Venom is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains. Looking forward to seeing Venom 3 later this year
