@D-Evolution So i did this with my evo, but the Fuel pump grommet keeps cracking in half causing the fuel pressure to drop or fail all together stopping the car from being able to run entirely. Have you had this issue?
Great content man. By any chance did you drill out your siphon to 9/64 like people suggest to relieve fuel pressure? Also did you ever hardwire the pump?
No I never drilled it out. I figured I would see what happens if I didnt drill it out. Car runs just fine on stock siphon. Also no I did not hardwire the pump. I left all the factory wiring and relays. Thanks
@@d-evolution1309 gotcha man. I recently swapped out my fuel pump to a aem 340 but was having issues starting after the car warmed up. Oddly it fires right up from a cold start. Swapped it out with a Walbro 450 and it got a tad better but still sort of having issues with warm starts.

Not yet. But at the same time mine has only been installed for maybe 10 months now or so
I encoutered this issue twice in 1y. Have you found any solution?
Better if it had a worm clamp to secure the pump onto the filter housing

You used a plastic zip tie inside that fuel housing?

Would this work on a 525 fuel pump too?
I think I remember reading the 525 is bigger dimensionally.
However if you find that the 525 is dimensionally the same as the 450 then it will work
Will this be the same for the evo 9?
I am not 100% sure but I would think I so. Both cars are near identical
Are you 100% sure that the pump is a genuine walbro?
Yes. Bought it from a genuine authorized walbro dealer. Not eBay or amazon
